Playing the steem memory game with friends was just the best thing I could ever do and it was even more interesting together. We took a mythical creature after ourselves and then started playing. The players on my competition are;

@mp2Octopus
@mkgirl77Unicorn
@bossj23Dragon

We took on our zodiac signs for the purpose of this game and tried playing to get a high score. We were to play the game once without repetition. Just imagine how tough that must have been. It required a lot of calculations to pull through. So the rules of this competition i initiated are as follows.

  • No player is expected to exceed 35 moves. It means disqualification

  • If you're opportune to open your zodiac sign first, you'll be given 3 chances to play the game

  • You're not to spend more than 1 minute 30 seconds.

These were the rules we were to follow while on video call as we watched each others screen to avoid cheating or playing smart. Let me narrate my game play and then share the scores of my competitors. You know when you have people competing with you, you'll definitely sit up and be more focused in training your memory to achieve a feat.

Opening cards with tension

Opening these cards was done in a tensed mode because I didn't want to waste my moves. I had to think hard and be conscious of my next move and any wrong move can lead to opening a different creature. You know you can pause the time, it starts once you click on start. I didn't have enough time to think. So I hard to think while opening the cards.

One funny thing I discovered over the years is that opening cards from the middle gives you more chances. I tried that and then was conscious of some mythical creatures as most of them aren't far-fetched from each other. I discovered about 2 cards that were just partners and this happened abruptly without delay.

Then was me trying to get the pyramid. I think this was the most stressful to find. Wait, Nooo. The creature that looks like a fly was what gave me difficulties. It looks so transparent which confused my eyes into seeing something else. Another creature was the horse and its rider. Who else had difficulty finding the second card? It was quite easy to find the first but the second was just scattered in such a way that I couldn't even get it in the process of searching. I think it was second to the last.

Another is mermaid. Mermaid is so secretive and deceptive. She can deceive you into going extreme not knowing her seconder is just around the corner, probably opposite or adjacent her. She was also an agent of confusion so to speak.

It's the way the cards flip so fast that if you're not careful, you can add extra moves to yourself without knowing. Sometimes the game will just hang, prolonging your time and increasing your moves. Octopus was easy to find. In all my game play, octopus is usually the first three I usually see.

Another is the unicorn. The unicorn is also deceptive and difficult to find, but the truth of the matter is that it is always very close. How funny and ironic?.

My sign was Dragon. Dragon was the least creature I could open so fast. I think I didn't get a chance to shine because I choose the wrong sign which gave me tough time. I played and scored 1548 in the game with the following stats.

@mkgirl77

She said her game experience was just luck because she opened 3 cards consecutively without opening the wrong creature. How lucky! Shd played once though as she didn't get the unicorn as her first card. She got a total point of 1530. She was quite ahead of @mp2 by 2 points and was ahead of me by

Total moves22
Time49 seconds

Stories about the mythical creatures

I've heard and also watched movies how these creatures are so unique in their own way and mostly, they are used for domestic purposes and for protection. Let's take for example the Dragon. I've not seen a dragon before, but I've heard stories about it and how its flammable with fire coming out of its mouth to destroy. People do worship this dragon especially those in Asia.

Some see it as a symbol of protection or a religious meaning or impact. Have you watched Game of thrones? You'll see the loveliest of dragons. Unicorns are known for its magic in its horn. Have you watched a Barbie movie where this unicorn is used as rescue and for protection against threats?

From contest link.
There are a lot to say about these creatures though. Since it's a competition, I have to focus on the main aim of this contest. It's funny to see that I won the competition . I had the highest score, giving @mkgirl77 18 points gap. What a man can do, another man can do better..... Congratulations to me.

I invite @fortwis09, @davidmarkgeorge and @mamun123456.
