Featuring the activities that had brought joy and greatness to us, these memories sometimes remind us that life is full of surprises and also let us know that we live in a small world and have to make memories for us to sit one day and recall great times spent together.
Share with us one captivating picture about anything at all, and tell us a story.
The photo you all are viewing date back to 2024 during the month of November. The picture hold a lot to me remembering my brothers and his class mates performing one of Micheal Jackson hit songs "Smooth criminal", Michael Jackson was famous for his elegant performance of stage, and his pleasing voice which captured audience from around the world making him the greatest Pop artist to ever set foot on the earth, passing passing away on the 24/06/2009 at the age of 50 this was to entertain the audience and pay tribute to the legend Michael Jackson.
Looking at this photo you can see that all of the performers where is one accord making the dance move spectacular, there did the Micheal Jackson moonwalk which stunned all the audience making them to shout and cheer for joy. The only move there didn't perform was the signature move which marvelled fans i.e the "Tilt". This move was done by Michael Jackson alone while on stage and anywhere, his ability to tilt at exactly angle 45° was shocking drawing attention from across the globe. It was very important to my brother that he didn't miss participating, he was so concerned about performing that he got as early as he could to ensure that he wasn't left out.
My brother actually perform four times the day, firstly as a canuri worrier while the canuri dancers where dancing and lastly as one of the performers of Micheal Jackson hit song Smooth criminal. This day meant a lot to me brother, I was glad that I held him get ready for all the activities he did. The picture also means a lot me recalling my brother childhood days off adding smiles to the lives of many, it also make me fill happy to know that my brother was not deprived of his childhood freedom to live as a kid. Whenever my brother looks at this picture he gets happy and always tells me to make sure that the picture doesn't get deleted for any reason.
What made that picture special?
The reason this picture is special is because it calls for togetherness, peace and joy. Togetherness in the sence that my little brother and his friends work together to put on a colourful performance that very day, because it is only when we work together that we can achieve great things, they had what I call team spirit, because the team spirit enables them work together to put on a performance which will be remembered as far as model school leaves, working together and enjoying the peace of the day.
The picture is also special because of the peace which it's promote, everyone who were present to witness that performance were all there in peace irrespective of their tribe, religions, beliefs, and family background. There all watched the learners perform with joy regardless that it wasn't there brothers or sisters performing, coming together to promote unity and make that day carry a positive memory without violence.
Lastly this photo wants as to be happy and spread that joy to everyone around us, looking at the photo you will see that the learners where performing in the state of joy, the joy flowed to the audience causing excitement and laughter around the atmosphere, when were are together we should only promote joy and unity, the most important of all was that the owners of the day which were the learners, had a great time.
Was it any special event, or something that quickly caught your eye?
This was actually the cultural day celebration where the Nigeria people from different tribes to showcase there cultural dance and beliefs. The day started with the Hausa tribe performing and educating us on their tribe, the Hausa tribe are known to have the largest land mass in the country and to be devoted muslims, I will like to use this opportunity to say happy Eid Al Mubarak to all the muslims around the world and in the steemit platform.
The cultural day celebration carries one the highest ranks in Nigeria as far as school social activities are concerned. Allowing students to fill amount other tribes, the school administration usually allocates classes with their various tribes, so if for instance you are from the Igbo tribe and your class falls in the Yoruba tribe you will have to dress as a member of the Yoruba tribe. This is one the activities which fosters the unity which Nigeria up holds till this date, all children who are the future leaders to see that other tribes are nothing but brothers and sisters, which I one other the reasons why Nigeria is regarded as the giant of Africa having 520 languages and over 250 ethnic groups.
The state I am currently which is cross river state has up to 35 different languages but they leave in peace, they is also a place in the state where men speak different from the women. This was said to be done to prevent the women from interfering in matter which doesn't concern them, what a culture.
Did it remind you of Any story, or Inspire you to write one for our story lovers??
This picture actually reminds me of my days back in primary school, where I performed as one of the three wise men who came with gold, frankincense and myrrh. I was really happy that my friends and i where part of the play which brought salvation to mankind. I can vividly remember that day were I acted as one of the wise men who gave baby Jesus gold which signifies that our lord was a king, mu friend David gave the second gift which was the frankincense that meant the Jesus Christ our saviour was a priest and lastly the myrrh which signified that he was to die in other to redeem mankind from sin.
I was a remarkable day the from me being part of the lord's birth act. I felt good at that time when I was just 9 years old. I was a little shy to perform but I new I could do it, I was maybe having what was called stage fright.
Was it taken by you or any professional photographer?
