Let's do it...Do It Yourself👉Craft, Creativity, Drawing, origami, DIY, Recycling and more week69
Hello friends welcome to my blog
It feels good to take part in this contest, showing what one can do. Today I will be showing you how I preserve my snail.
I went to the market and bought snails. I bought more since I will be preserving them for future use. On getting to the market, I noticed it was a bit expensive than the last time I bought.

The lady who sold the snail helped in breaking out the shell making my work easier. I also got lime and alum to use in washing the snail. I began my preservation process when i got home.
Step1

---|
I got a bowl of water, put a piece of alum into the water, and then put the snails in the water. After a few minutes, I began washing with the lime. I like the combination of alum and lime in washing a snail because it gives a quick removal of the slime.

After several washings and changing of clean water, the water became clearer, showing it was properly washed clean.
Step2

When I was done washing the snails, I got a tray and a knife. I gave the snails a little cut in the middle with the knife for proper drying, both inside and out, and kept the snails with a cut separately on the tray. I did that until I was done with the whole snail.
Step3

After the cuts, I sprinkle salt and pepper on the snail and allow it for some minutes, then transfer the snails to an oven rack and put them into the oven.
Step4

I place it into the oven with a low heat and allow it to dry, which I kept checking for hours, until I get my desired dried snail.
Step5

This is the snail, all dried; the water in it drains out into the lower drip pan of the oven.

This is the final stage, which is packaging it in a Ziplock bag.
This is my own way of preserving snail meat, and it can last for a longer time without spoiling and is tasty. You can try my process of drying.
I am inviting @rossnenye @abhaz and @entity01 to take part in this contest.
