One Picture, A Thousand Stories-Wk19

Hello friends, I'm glad to participate in this contest organized by @fortwis09

Town Hall Meeting.jpg

What made that picture special?

This is me (on the right) and my colleague Mr. Joel (on the left). I call him my twin brother cos we are mostly seen working together. We are Medical Representative, we visit hospitals to detail pharmaceutical products to Doctors. We also promote these products at the community pharmacy, where we often educate them on the indications for the products, the dosage, adverse events and every detailed information about the products so they can be properly guided.

Was it any special event, or something that quickly caught your eye?

Our office had a townhall meeting a couple of weeks ago. Our colleagues from other region joined us at the head office where we are based in other to also participate in the meeting.
Our townhall meeting always comes once in two years. The last time we had such meeting was in the year, 2023, January 13th to be precise.
We always look forward to every townhall meeting because it gives us the avenue to know more about the company, enables us to air our options and as well see how the company can progress and get better.

Did it remind you of Any story, or Inspire you to write one for our story lovers??

Yes Ooooh. The picture reminded me of how and why I started referring to him as my twin brother.
We both have cars. But each time we are working at same location, we often use just a single car. People often say we looked alike based on our type of hair cut. In fact, there was a day we were flagged down but the police officers on patrol. After scanning through our vehicles and nothing incriminating was found, one of the officers asked we were twins, we told him we ain't twins. He still asked if we're brothers. We told him no, that we are only colleagues at work. He then told us that we resemble each others.

To ascertain if what people have been saying about us if true, there was this faithful day we were out for work as usual, we were flagged down by Road Safety officers. They requested for my licence. At that point I knew that I was already in trouble cos I didn't have my license on me as it was Joel's car we used.

I left my licence inside my car. I signalled Joel to give me licence from the pigeon hole of the car. Joel was trying to use sign to communicate that the license there was his and not mine. I just told him to be calm and do as I say. He quietly brought it out. I handed it over to them, they checked through the photo on it and looked at my face. At that point, my heart was already beating too fast but I try as much as I can to control my breathing and not look tensed. After going through it, they handed over the licence to use and asked us to go.

Since after that incidence, I somehow believe that there's a resemblance.

Was it taken by you or any professional photographer?

Nope. Picture was not taken by a professional photographer but by one of our colleagues.

I'm inviting my friends @ashley-p @vickyson and @dave-hanny to also participate in this contest.
