Hello dear Steemians,

I am here again. Today's post is about the little part of my life, I want to show you a small surprise I planned for a friend of mine in which I would love you guys to comment about if the drawing truly resemble him

When his birthday was a the corner, I thought of gifts to give him because he never forgets to give me when it is my own turn. I didn't want to go for usual items like T shirt, perfume or wrist watch. I wanted to give him something that will last forever, something that would carry a piece of me anytime he sees it. That's when the idea of drawing him came in and I decided to try it.

Before I started I was having a little bit of doubt. Drawing a person is not easy. Sometimes you try and try, but the face doesn’t look exactly the way you want. Artist like @us-andrew and others should know what I'm talking about. I kept asking myself, “What if he doesn’t recognize himself? What if it looks funny instead?” But I still went ahead to draw him.

So I sat down and began to draw with my pencil and paper, and I started working on it. I took a lot of time and attention, looking at the little details and trying to bring them into the sketch. I didn't make so fast and quick, but slowly the drawing came together. And honestly, at the end, I felt proud of myself for even trying.

When it was the D-day, I gave him the drawing, his reaction was wowed. He was so surprised! The way his face was full of excitement and the big smile he had told me that he really appreciated it. That moment made me realize that ordinary gifts don't have to be expensive instead the hand made gifts carries deep meaning. That drawing wasn’t only a picture of him, it was also a picture of friendship, care, and the thought that went into making it.
