Title: The Last Mango Tree

The mango season is over, and we're here to read a story title: The Last Mango. In a very quiet village of Alumna, there stood a single mango tree at the edge of an old farm owned by an elderly woman. The Mango Tree was not the biggest, nor the most fruitful. In fact, a lot of people in the village said the tree was dying, its bark was cracked, its leaves sparse, and its fruits few.

But the owner of the tree, who is the oldest woman in the village, visited the mango tree on a very early morning. Each time she visited the tree, she would just sit beneath it, humming songs that no one else could remember. The children always asked the old woman the reason why she always goes to the mango tree, as it is almost dead.

The only answer she would give to her children is to smile and say, The tree you're seeing isn't just a tree. People began cutting down the trees to build fires and cool off with them. At the time, the village people were struck by a long drought. Although the people couldn't cut down the Mango Tree because the old woman was sitting under the Mango Tree.

On one faithful evening, a small boy who was passing by saw light flashing on the Mango Tree and so he ran to the village and started calling people to come and see and behold when they got to the tree, they saw worn branches, lying a cluster of golden mangoes, sweet, and glowing like treasure. The old woman touched one of the mangoes gently and said, **"You see, the tree was waiting. It gives fruit when it matters most.

From that very day, the people began to protect what they once overlooked and try to cut down. At that moment, the mango became a symbol of quiet strength of patience.
