The Diary Game: Renovating Our Newly Rented Poultry Farm 09-09-2025
Hello ladies and gentlemen of Steemit, it's your favorite friend, @joychi102.And in a bit I will be sharing my day in words and hope it blessed your day as much as my day was blessed.
When the workers were supposed to revamp the new poultry farm my husband had rented, it was a stone's throw from our house. My husband said I should wake up early so that I can go and see what they will be doing. He is out of town at the moment, and I am the one with the kids. So I went there and saw that they had already pulled off part of the roof. I wish they could finish up before the weekend because by Monday we will be restocking the chicken against Christmas sales like we used to.

When I saw that they had started working already, I went back home and prepared white yam with Okpala and scent leaf sauce. This was exactly what I made for them. My kids couldn't go to school because their head teacher called and informed us they were resuming next week from the initial date slated for resumption. I was happy because I couldn't imagine myself preparing food for workers and for family.

When I took the food to the workers, I came back home and cooked for us to eat; it was a little rice with peppered sauce for breakfast. When we finished eating, I bathed my son and asked my daughter to bathe so we could go to the shop together.
When we got to the shop, we all attended to customers together, so as we were attending to customers, masquerades (ekpo) came to the shop and asked me to give them something (money or bread). Normally I wouldn't have done it, but when one elderly man passed by, he said I should give them what they wanted so they could allow me to rest and also bless my shop for me. I did, and they prayed for me and left.

We were all doing the selling together; even my little son was doing the selling. I liked that he was beginning to be active; that means the future of our business is in safe hands from what I am seeing. I hope he continues on this path and watches me support him.
I spread the onions outside so that the sun could dry them; there were some that were getting soft, so I had to dry them, and at some point it began to drizzle, so I rushed, and with the help of my little friends, I was able to pack the onions back to my shop before the rain started falling heavily.

After we stayed at the shop till evening, one of the workers came in my direction to the shop and told me they were done removing the old roof; he needed money to buy nails so they could put a new roof tomorrow. I called my husband, and he transferred money to his account, and then he left.
By evening time, it was as if the rain wanted to fall again, so I told my children to help me so we could pack and go back home before the heavy rain came again. They helped, and we packed and then went back home, and at home I fried potatoes and made tea; that was what we ate for our dinner. My kids love fries like this, while I don't like eating things like this. After eating, I had to rest for the day.
@joychi102 loves you all.
