This season should provide a lot of rest and fun for our children who, for a whole year have been, more or less, forced to respect school schedules, commitments and extracurricular activities of various kinds and have had to accept very specific limits, but also to support pressing and tight weekly rhythms.

It would indeed be very counterproductive to their well-being not to interrupt these forced dynamics.

In summer, for every child, it is of vital importance to be able to play freely, be bored, or sleep a little more, without anyone, from the outside, imposing precise rhythms or activities to be carried out; children should be allowed to escape from fixed patterns and binding commitments, which they were unable to escape during the winter.

So let's avoid the temptation to keep our children busy, for fear that they may have empty hours during the day and don't worry about providing them with a thousand new and constructive stimuli, ideas, proposals, activities.

In reality, after a year of books, our little one's brains just need to regenerate; this is why we must let the children stay outdoors as much as possible, go and discover the world of the surrounding nature, play freely, without limiting their imagination, their desire for adventure; these are the months, in which you do not learn from books, but above all on the basis of experience, through all five senses, and what can you do if you do not have freedom of action?

Let us also let our children free to do nothing for hours, to feel boredom; it will be as beneficial as the fun, let's never forget that summer should be characterized by slower rhythms; let us relax first, to give the children the opportunity to rest; after all where do we have to run.

We can also take the luxury of resting with our children for once and enjoy family moments, which we do not have the opportunity to experience during the year.
