Staying on the track with the keys Ashley used could only be achieved by rehearsals upon rehearsals. I go with mainly gospel songs since I am obliged to sing them in church every Sunday, and come to think of it, when it comes to rehearsals, we practice on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Mastering parts has been a constraint for me when it comes to music, and I believe by practicing songs regardless of genre, I can help achieve this and improve my vocal straining capacity.

@wakeupkitty.pal mentioned me in a post sometime ago. I read through the post, but I couldn't drop a quick reply. The idea in the post was basically about a part of Steemit where people would just post entertaining videos and funny clips, one that would drag attention, advancing the video creation style and kind of video uploaded on it. This contest holds strong to this features suggestion to content creators on this web3 social blogging platform. I love music and can't stop listening to it and having people teach me for improvement.

What can you say about the choice of song? Does it ring a bell? [Drop link to video]

For those on breakups, I would say this choice of song is perfect for them but will increase the tears. When I was reading through the lyrics, I understood every detail. What I discovered from the whole story is this: Picture the singer's unwillingness to go on with a relationship after a breakup. The memories keep resonating because they have been with each other for so long, and it's hard to believe they have now gone their separate ways.

They shared a thing in common, which is a major element of love (driving home because a partner has no license). She really hates the fact that she could still picture these things in her mind after separating. I would have loved to ask a question: Do you think loving from a distance could cause a reunion even if an apology is rendered?.

What challenges did you encounter trying to sing this song and how did you overcome it?

• Harmonising a song can never be possible if the melody is not known, and harmonising with only your part will not really showcase the harmony if other parts are not heard. I believe @philughes could testify; this is one problem I have in music. Trying to follow Ashley's part was high for me, and I couldn't really know where to position myself because, first, it was hard to install the lyrics completely in my brain. So I tried to sing her part but in a lower octave.

• Another challenge I had from my environment was disturbance: people kept trooping into my room to ask me questions, so what I did was lock up my door and head to the nearby bush, but even with that, it was almost time for churches to hold their programs, and their sound extended to where I stood.

• Another thing I encountered was how hard it was to take a breath because the song was really chained with almost no break.

What effect do this song and lyrics have on you? Were you emotional as you sang the song?

No heartbreak, no in-depth emotions; I only felt intrigued by the whole song pattern, the riffs and runs, and I also felt for the feeling one could have during breakups. Family will always be aware in one way or the other that there is something wrong. I would say the contest creator did a very nice job in bringing up a contest like this. It's my pleasure participating; I would love to see more of this. Thanks a million.
