A Graduation, A Coloring Book, and A Heart Full of Joy

It was a beautiful Friday morning...
The kind of morning that feels both ordinary and extraordinary. My week had been a blur of work, errands, and school runs, but this day, I cleared my schedule. My little girl was graduating from preschool to primary class. It might seem small to some, but to me, it was everything.
Almost five years ago, I held her in my arms for the first time, this tiny human with her tiny fingers wrapped around mine. And now? She’s writing full sentences, reading books, and asking big questions about life. How did time fly so fast?

Now let me confess, I'm an introvert to the core, I love quiet, I avoid crowds and loud parties exhaust me. But this Friday? I showed up early and stayed till the music stopped. For my little girl, because her joy is my joy.
The excitement on her face whenever she turned and saw me? Priceless. During the parent-child game, she kept pulling me close and laughing like we were best friends having our own private party. And the way her classmates looked, all dressed up and singing their hearts out, it made everything feel magical.

When her name was called for the Overall Academic Performance Award, I nearly jumped out of my seat. Not because of the award itself, but because of the effort, growth, and curiosity she has shown all year. She’s kind. She’s smart, and she genuinely enjoys learning. I couldn’t be prouder.
And then... guess what? I also got called up!
“Most Helpful Parent”
I was stunned. I didn’t even know there was an award like that. I’ve always tried to help around when I could, fixing things, giving feedback, and volunteering when I had time. I didn’t do it for recognition. I just did it because I care. And to be seen like that? It meant a lot.

To add to the celebration, I created a custom colouring book for my daughter and gave copies to all her classmates. Watching her proudly hand them out, her eyes twinkling like stars, it was one of my favourite parts of the day. She was so proud. I was so moved. The kind of moment that stays with you.
31st of July, Another Milestone Awaits
As we danced home with tired feet and full hearts, one thought kept ringing in my head: She’s growing. And so am I.
She turns five on the 31st of July, and you already know what that means... preparations have begun. Cake, balloons, love, laughter, and of course, more colouring books!

Your daughter is so cute.
Congratulations to her!
It's impossible to stand out academically or in any other aspect of life if you do not have a good support system, which at this point is you, the parent.
Congratulations to both of you. Wishing her all the best in her future endeavours. God give you the grace to keep taking very good care of her. So let it be.
Thank you so much for your kind words; they sure mean so much. Amen to your prayers.
I think every mother wonders from time to time how her children could have grown up so quickly and unnoticed... Enjoy every moment. It won't come back. All the best to you!
