Lifestyle diarygame 4 July, 2025 || My departmental election

Hello friends, how are you all doing today? I hope all is well and you all are having a nice and wonderful day. Today, I will be sharing with you all about how I spent my day.

As usual, thank God it's Friday, and a school day, if I may add. I got myself prepared for school this morning, and the weather looked like it was going to rain, but it didn't. So, after I finished my house chores and everything else, I left for school.

Reaching the school I was very disappointed when I heard that our class was cancelled because of our departmental election so as seen in the above picture we all were sited for the election to start and the various contestants came out and made a speech then soon after that the election began.

The returning officer started sharing a piece of paper with the names of the contestants written on it, and we were to tick the name of the person we wished to cast our vote for, which I did, of course. After that, still being seated, they came and collected the paper from us one after the other.

After that, the total votes cast were counted, and it was time to announce the various winners of the election for their various offices.

After the announcement of the various winners of the election, it was picture-taking time as the various winners stood to take pictures alongside some of those that didn't get enough votes.

So now, as freshers, it is normal to consult with our senior colleagues. Our class representative, with our contributions, brought drinks and groundnuts and presented them to the senior colleagues to officially fficially to the Department of Fine and Industrial Art, University of Uyo.

After that, since our department deals more with culture, we were told to sit on the ground as punishment for late consultation that we were supposed to do last semester. So we sat on the floor, dirty as hell, all thanks to dust from clay. We sat there and waited for our chief priests to come and address us.

Then after a while, he came into the hall and gave us an orientation about the affairs of the department as it may affect us, some of the basic and most important rules guiding the department and us, the students of fine and industrial art in general.

So the orientation took about an hour, and after that, they opened the drinks as well as the groundnuts, and we even followed and drank some of the drinks as well since there were not many of us.

And after that, we were dismissed to go back to our various homes. It was a very nice experience though, because they really told us some in-depth things that we did not know about.

So we went to the school bus stop and boarded a bus. Coming home, I was tired and exhausted, so I freshened up a bit, had some snacks, and lay down for a bit.
