The tragic incident all because of money
Hello friends, how are you all doing today? I hope all is well and you all are having a nice and wonderful day. Today I will be sharing with you all about the crazy event that took place this evening as I was coming back from school.
"Money the root of all evil", this has been a phrase that we have been hearing right from the time we were still very young, and today I came to a conclusion and concord with the phrase that indeed money is the root of all evil
The Incident |
---|
The incident took place just in front of the University of Uyo town campus, in front of the school's small gate, very close to the plaza. I was on my way back from the University of Uyo permanent site. I was in a bus when I got off in front of the town campus's small gate because I wanted to see my exams officer.
So I got off the bus, and then I saw some people gathering. Though at first, in my mind, I thought that maybe a thief had been caught, so I wanted to go and see the criminal's face, only to realize that it wasn't what I was expecting it to be.
When I got closer, I found out that someone, a guy, was lying on the ground and was groaning in pain. Then, immediately in my mind, I thought that maybe he was attacked by some cult group or something. Then I asked one man that was there, "What happened?"
The man answered
The guy saw money on the ground and he immediately rush to go and carry it then another person his friend for that matter then immediately push 🫸🏽 him away trying to prevent him from picking the money then he entered the road and Keke (tuktuk) hit him.
You know just by looking at the guy you can tell that he's in so much pain, and I think he broke his ribs, so I went ahead to ask how much money was on the ground that caused this tragic incident.
And the man said that it was just 200 naira only, which is equivalent to just 1 steem. You can imagine, money, the root of all evil, caused a friend to push a fellow friend into the road to be hit by a vehicle, all because of money.
The guy was unable to stand up by himself, and he was dragged by 4 people out of the road; some people were laughing while some people were pitying the guy.
