A football match that was played last week Sunday

On the 6th day of July 2025, I went to watch a football match and there are possibilities I will play the match too but I didn't put my hope on playing, I just decided to join the other guys incase they need my physical contribution in the game and also to take pictures and videos of the game. It was a very interesting day as I was opportuned to take more than 14 pictures using some of the players phones.

We played a very wonderful game that day. If you check my blog you see some posts that talks about this match (before and after the match talks) I was praying that we win the match and my prayers eventually got answered. My church youth are very skillful football players who have passion for the game. Yes there's a reward for the winners of this tournament but that's not our only concern.

We just want to win and be known as the catholic church in the deanery that has the best football players. I have always been attending the trainings for every matches and sometimes I do play with the guys while I don't sometimes, I just sit and watch them as well as take pictures.

It rained very heavily that Sunday and I was disturbed because I know there will be alot of water on the field and if there's no water the field will definitely be wet and this will make the players not to play the match comfortably. The match started and we scored two goals in the first half and I was glad the rain didn't fall again. We intended to score up to 4 goals in the first half but what we planned didn't work out because some unexpected things happened.

Our coach arrived during half time break and he created more impact on the players and also made good substitutions that will increase our chances of winning. The second half started and a penalty was rewarded to our opponent, we weren't happy at all and they scored the penalty making it 2 - 1 We played harder and successfully scored one more goal.

After that we kept on making alot of attempts but up to three shots touched the goalpost bar of our opponent, we were so close to scoring up to 6 goals which was our target. The match ended 3 - 1 we won it. At least we didn't lose the match, we just need to score more than 3 goals in the next match which is still in this month. The players prayed together after the match ended before they came to where the other guys who were in sub and I, were standing.
