Writing Expedition ✍️ 04 : Have Fun while Writing! (The Diary Game - 02/08/25)

On the 2nd day of August 2025, I watched another live football match and if my church youth and loses the match we would be disqualified from the tournament. It was a very busy day for me but I tried my best to follow them to the place the match was being played so that I could take some pictures of the event. Did we win the match or we lost it? Walk with me as I tell you the complete activities of that day.

It was a Saturday and ofcourse you will always find me in the church on Saturday morning because I always have duties to carryout as an Altar Server. I couldn't take pictures of the church environment that morning because I switched off my phone when I was about to enter the church compound because my battery was low and sometimes it runs down by itself bit by bit.

On my way to the church I took pictures of my street and I said to myself that I need to ensure we round up whatever we were going to do that day, on time so that I can get back to the house, eat the rest of my breakfast and follow the players to place the match was going to take place. My plans worked out as we finished on time that day and I dismissed my members before I went back to the house to eat and do somethings with my phone.

We gathered in the church compound waiting for the bus that will take us to the place to arrive and after sometime we decided to go to the junction and wait for the bus because we were informed that the bus is on it's way. The bus came and we entered the bus and headed straight to the place. Some of our opponents were already there and the players from my church who were selected by our Coach to start the match, started wearing their jersey and boot.

Both those starting the match and waiting for substitution, started doing a light warm up while waiting for the kick off. I took one of the players phone to take pictures. The pictures I uploaded in this afternoon category are showing 05/08/25 because they were sent to my phone on that day I was very entertained while watching the match because it was a very tough match as our opponent were physically fit that more of our players.

There were times we thought they have scored our team but our goalkeeper saved the shots while some went over the net. It was a very wonderful day as the match went to extra time goalless and also went to penalty shootout. We won the match through penalties as our opponent missed twice and our goalkeeper saved one of their shot which means they scored twice while we scored thrice because one of my players missed and the last one didn't play because we have already won.

It was a very joyous day for us and our goalkeeper was the man of the match. Is a young guy who loves what he does in football and I pray he goes far in life. We had one more catholic church to play with before we can qualify to the finals. The players removed their jerseys and wore their own clothes before entering the bus.

We all discussed about alot of things in the bus and some of our players were also injured. I was very happy we won the match because we worked so hard for it. Our goalkeeper was indeed unbelievable and I know he was very proud of himself that day. He's a goalkeeper that trains alot.

When I arrived home I took my bath, ate dinner which was supposed to be my lunch and started pressing my phone because I had alot of unfinished business to do online. I didn't rest at all. I also received some pictures I took that day. There was electricity at home and I was happy about that because I planned to do alot of things with my phone that night and if my phone battery runs down I won't be able to finish them so it was impossible for it to run down because it was fully charged and there was still electricity.
