One picture, a thousand stories-Wk15

Hello everyone ..!!

"One Evening, the Three of Us Held Hands"
It was a busy evening in Dhaka. The bluish sky was dimming with the last light of dusk. The streets were crowded with traffic, headlights flashing, and thousands of people rushing by. Amidst all this chaos, we stood on top of a tall building—three friends: Me, Meem, and Orin.
Our friendship had started in the most ordinary way. When university classes began, I didn’t attend the first few days. I didn’t feel like leaving my village. So, I joined a bit late. That day was my very first class of university life. On the first day of class in our freshman year, Meem found a seat beside Orin. One seat next to them was empty, and that’s where I sat. What began as a casual introduction soon blossomed into something deeper. Group projects, cups of tea in the cafeteria, quiet conversations in the library—all slowly wove us into a beautiful bond.
In that moment captured in the photo, we stood atop the tall building while the city below groaned under the pressure of traffic. Yet, between us, there was an odd sort of calm. Both of them wore watches—a symbol of their respect for time, yet they still found small pockets of it to give to each other.
We held hands and said, — "In this city of thousands of people and countless relationships, you know what? The most dependable bond of my life has been with you two. Behind the name of friendship, you both are truly the best part of my life."
Meem smiled and said, — "I’ve known that for a long time. But today, as we held hands, I truly felt it—this bond isn’t just friendship; it’s deeper than love."
Amid the city's noise and the soft touch of the breeze, that moment between us seemed to freeze in time. Maybe this isn't a love story, but perhaps it’s even greater than that—our story of friendship. Someday, if someone writes a poem about friendship, maybe our bond will take a place even above romantic tales. A relationship that pays no heed to time, distance, or words.
I always pray to the Almighty that our friendship remains tied like these three hands—forever united in this bond.
