The picture was taken during a debate program of our debate club. A new league has started in our debate club. Called Leak Season Seven, the selected debaters from here are given the opportunity to debate at the national level. Today, my team did not have a debate, so I was there. I was sitting there and watching where the opponent team's weaknesses are. Because the next debate will be with them. If we do not know their weaknesses in advance, it will not be possible to defeat them.
However, the debate motion today was very interesting. This parliament was raised that this parliament wants to ban the use of artificial intelligence in war. To be honest, due to the arrival of this artificial, our life has become a machine's life. I have been against artificial intelligence from the beginning. Because when it is run using robots or drones, they never understand who the human is and turn into a child and surrender. They keep working according to that programming. As a result, no kind of humanity works during war.
Since debate is a game of logic, the government and the opposition parties continue to present arguments. However, in the current era, there is no situation where the use of artificial intelligence can be ignored. Because now is the era of information technology. In the era of information and technology, all aspects are moving forward with time. Similarly, the use of this technology can be observed in the battlefield. The use of this technology causes serious damage.
The opposing party's Jannatul Ferdous Aputi beautifully presented the argument for using this technology in the battlefield. Although I somewhat agreed with her argument, I could not completely agree. Her arguments were not Oscar-worthy in the era of information and technology.
However, I think that just as there are UN policies for the use of other nuclear bombs, similarly, policies should be made for using this artificial intelligence in the battlefield. Based on which this program will run. And outside of those policies, no country will be able to use this weapon in the battlefield.
Debate is a subject that develops talent through logic and argument. This debate gives a person an opportunity to think deeply about a topic. And from that place I really like to debate myself. That is why after getting admitted to college, I have been associated with this debate club. And I always have weekly meetings. Debate is like a family outside the Phila department. Here, there is just as much argument as there is chat. Everyone is by each other's side.
Overall, I enjoyed this interesting motion today very much. Besides, I myself have been able to gain a lot of knowledge about the subject.
