If you buy pears that tastes sour or a bit sour. And you don't feel comfortable while eating it. This video is for you.

I'll be sharing with you, how to prepare our local pear in a way and manner that the whole sour taste will be gone
Before you begin to wonder why I'm showing you how to prepare our local pear. Of course it may be simple. But not everyone here knows how to prepare it or have even seen it before.

This local pear is a seasonal fruit. That means you can only find enough of it around certain time of the year.
Rainy seasons like this....And corn harvesting season too.

Truth be told, the best way of eating the local pear is with a corn. Whether boiled, popped or fried. It just taste better when you eat it with the corn.
But in the absence of corn , I decided to use soaked garri to eat it. It still taste really nice by the way😂😂

The steps I used in the pear preparation is in the video below. But I'll still go ahead to write it out for people who do not have data to watch the video...(You're not alone😂😂)

My first step was washing my hands and every utensils that were to be used for this course. After that , I poured the pear into a bowl and washed it thoroughly to cleans germs , bacteria and fungi. You cannot say you're eating food, and you don't wash them before you cook. Typhoid will finish you😂.

So after washing and drying it, I took a knife and started cutting the body of the pear a little. Just some tiny cuts on the body of the pears. All of them. Then I sprinkled a little salt on them and stir it vigorously to mix well.

I said something about sour taste of some pears. Sprinkling salt on them reduces or eliminate completely, the sour taste. Making the pears more pleasant to eat.

After, stirring the salt into the pears, I lighted my gas , washed and place a frying pan on it. And poured the bowl of pear into the frying pan. Then I started stirring the pears with a spoon.
I kept stirring it nonstop to avoid them getting burnt. I also made sure the gas cooker heat was minimum.

After stirring for about 5 to 6 minutes, I noticed that my pears were were completely cooked and ready to be devoured. So I poured them out into a plate. The image you see above.
Because of those knife cuts, you can see openings on the body of the pears.

Yes, I said I soaked garri and ate it with it. And it was really nice.
When you soak garri, you filter out the first water to get rid of some debris . Then you add another clean water.

Yo can chose to add a little salt in the garri if you want.
Me, since I already added salt in the pear, I didn't want to add it again in the garri.

So I enjoyed my pear and garri graciously.
See you in my next video and post
