In the previous lesson I wrote on the purpose behind my channel. My dream was to become a celebrity musician, even though at this time, I wasn't even in the choir. Back in 2020, still a teenager, I wrote songs on my own, both secular and gospel, but as time passed, I loved more of gospel due to its constant reminder of my purpose and who I should direct praise to, my creator.

Two Channel With Similar Niche

While surfing the internet and searching through to find channels that can be compared to my channel, I searched the official channels of most gospel musicians. What I think I could find on TikTok is not really trending here on YouTube, but I found a channel which picked my interest: dance videos (I could include this in my video), covers, and vlogging about how an event went. The videos are my kind of videos. With my official channel, I am limited, so I will go with music covers in combination with my original songs. I think starting up with covers is perfect to spread it to a wider audience since these artists are already known.

Interesting things I note

1000006068.jpg1000006073.jpg
  • At first I thought every video in official channels was very official until I saw a vlog where Moses Bliss talked about his trip with his mum to the United Kingdom. He shared every moment and spoke of its significance. This video was also uploaded in a portrait format, and since he is not capturing a wide audience for visibility but just him and his mum, I learnt something there about the pattern: I should shoot most of my videos.
  • Another channel I found which shares similar interests, and I can compare their pattern to mine, was a street gospel duet. I have done a lot of duets in previous channels, but they were mixed with other videos, which did not give my channel a focused niche. Since I will be focusing on building an official channel,
  • Then I thought I could add this as well to my official music channel; maybe some days I go out to the street for evangelism and speak of how it went and some new faces I have met, or maybe speak words of advice to them, like, kind of preaching.

Search @MosesBliss

In this two-channel I noticed that their titles are short, most times they didn't move to the next line, their description goes with not too many hashtags, and also they were shot on a good camera. They had a clear audio sound so that both the instrumentals and the vocalist could be heard. I can actually imitate singing with a mic and singing on stages from them, and for the street song, I can actually imitate going to different places to sing, not necessarily when people surround me but a place with an ambience of nature. Their thumbnails were very simple and attractive; they point to where the video is driving. Like I said, my adjustment would be covered on different backgrounds, either on a rooftop, in a natural biome, in a crowded environment, etc.

Three video title/description for my video

  • This song will stir up your spirit.

  • Let this song be your prayer today.

  • Favour surrounds me like a shield.

This song is a cover of 'Favour' by Lawrence Oyor; the lyrics of the part focus on access to the internet, and it is created for the Steemit challenge. #steemit #music #steemvideo #song

Choosing a title

Let this song be your prayer today

Video Script

Let this song be your prayer today, Favour by Lawrence Oyor.

Opening (Setting the Tone)

  • Visual: Me standing erect in a calm and serene environment, preparing to sing.

  • Opening Sentence (Narration): This narration below will be typed fast on the screen to captivate my audience.

"In moments of stillness, when the world fades away, a song rises from within—the song of surrender, of hope, of faith."

  • I began by adding an overlay of myself grounded in spirit by praying, eyes close for some seconds.

  • The moment transit to me standing still with calmness as I sing the first part of the lyrics as I sing I close my eyes gently to feel connected to the realm.

  • As I close my eyes and raise my hands sideways, tilting my head up as if I am receiving the song and preparing to let it flow through you.

  • The camera focus should be up to my waist to capture the calmness in my expression and then Zooms to magnify my face overlay will i keep singing:

  • While singing: I move my hands gently. Move your hands, palms facing upward, as if you're receiving something divine.

  • As the song progresses, I add a clip where I am praying, placing my hands on the tree banks; later, I switch over to the original clip where I stand.

  • Then I move the switch over to another clip where I am still singing and then placing my hands on my head praying; at this point the camera moves very close to my face to show my expression.

  • The singing should feel effortless, because the main clip where I sang shouldn't be added so much because standing still without an audience for a call and response kind of song will make it not attractive for viewer on my own analysis of other channel of my niche, at this point I act like you’re being carried by the music. The voice should be clear, tender and powerful—letting the song speak for itself.

  • A slow music fade-out is made, and an effect is added as if it is ending the closing remark; a blurry moment is formed where I display a portion from the scripture as a closing remark.

Psalm 84:11, For the LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD will give grace and glory. No good📖 thing will hewithhold from those who walk in integrity.

  • Lastly an in-video display of stickers is made to communicate to the viewer to like, subscribe and share with friends.
  • Expressions and Body Language: Throughout the video, every movement was never unawares but deliberate and natural, as though your body is responding instinctively to the song. This is a deeply spiritual and introspective journey for of live session capture during ministrations.

  • Intonation of "Speech" (Through Expression): Still on the existing protocol, although there is no dialogue, my body is the narrator. My actions and emotions tells the story. Show deep concentration during moments of prayer, serenity during the walking segments.

Well, it's an interesting video and it keeps the pace. At least it makes you want to listen to it until the end.
The melody reminds me of reggae and a bit of pop. What musical genre does that song you shared fit into?

I liked the effects, my friend. Good luck.

Thanks a lot my friend, yes it actually does, I posted it in my WhatsApp status and many love it...

In my own knowledge of musical genre, I would say it fits best into gospel songs, a contemporary choir style of singing, thanks for loving every part of my edits I really appreciate...

I made a change to that to keep up with the challenge requirement..
