Welcome to Our lady of the Sacred Heart Parish Church.

A local Marian Church located in Basak -Road Marigondon, Lapu-lapu City, Cebu, Philippines is a Roman Catholic Church. Declared as Parish on September 8,1998. It belongs to the Archdiocese of Cebu. A vicariate of Nuestra Señora de Regla Parish National Shrine in Lapulapu, Cebu. The patron is Our Lady of Sacred heart.

History

The church was founded by and is under the care of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. Planning for a new church to be established in Marigondon were first put forward by priests Rev. Fr. Nicasio Gran, MSC and Fr. Marsito Macainan, MSC of Nuestra Señora de Regla Parish National Shrine in Lapulapu, Cebu.

In July 1996, the cornerstone was laid and blessed by Archbishop Ricardo J. Cardinal Vidal, DD. The building was designed by Cañizares Architects and built by Dakay Construction and Development Corporation.

The church was declared a parish on September 8, 1998, which was also the date of the first fiesta. Fr. Reynaldo S. Maldo, MSC was the first parish priest and he served between 1998 and 2003. He also initiated the fund-raising drive for church-building.

The altar

_{The focal point in every church where the Holy Eucharist is hosted as Lord Jesus in the cross is the center of it all. The altar here is wide with the wall as a backdrop. The design is seamlessly simple and yet complete.}

The Chairs

_{The wide chairs are comfortably arranged for the masses. Monoblock chairs are also provided for people outside the hall. Its airy and pyramid design roof makes it wider inside. It can accommodate hundreds of mass goers. Entrances and exits are in the main entrance as well as in every sides of the church excluding the altar side. The choirs and other mass goers are at the second floor, an extra chairs accessible by stairs near the entrance, shaping like U facing the altar.}

Candle Lighting Area and The Grotto

_{On the right side of the parking area ,line of of Naga trees will cast shadows while you sit facing the grotto near the candle lighting area. Its calm and peaceful here.}

The Adoration

_{The adoration chapel is connected at the back of church. You can exit at the left wing and there is a door 🚪 waiting for us to enter. I recommend everyone to come inside and have a silent prayer here.}

Function Hall and The Gym

_{The function hall is where seminars and religious groups and communities meeting area. The Gym also is one of the best addition to the the Church where gathering and events be held. Next to it, are the boys and girls restroom 🚻 and also the convent building , below the convent is the parish office which is open 8 am to 5pm to cater mass intentions, d∆onations and other information you may need.}

The Parking Area

_{The wide car parking area is very convenient . Upon entering the gate, there is a road map posted as a guide and also a security guard to guide. Big celebration like simbang gabi, it can only allow limited cars and motorcycle inside.}
