Institut Teknologi Sumatera||Lampung Selatan, Lampung
Dear Steemit friends, I wish you all success wherever you are....
After traveling about 2,000 kilometers from the city of Kruenggeukueh to Lampung, we arrived at the campus of the Sumatra Institute of Technology, or ITERA, to help my son re-enroll. We had to accompany him to re-enroll as a requirement for him to continue his studies at the campus. We headed to a very magnificent building located in a very large campus area. Of course, we were only there to drop him off or accompany him, while he had to do the rest himself. And the building was very magnificent. With students coming from all over Indonesia. From the province of Aceh in the west to Papua in the east.
Of course, parents were not allowed to enter the building, which was full of students re-registering on August 1, 2024, and my son's name was on the list. Basically, we could only see the grandeur of the building from the outside, without being able to access the inside. We understand that this was to maintain order and provide a comfortable environment for students re-registering.
To get to the building, we pass through the magnificent campus gate. It is located in front of the toll road exit, allowing us to see it clearly and enter the campus, which has various types of engineering faculties. One of the programs is Geophysical Engineering, which my son chose. The campus covers an area of 285 hectares in South Lampung. With its vast area, which includes a forest-like park, this campus is considered a green campus with a variety of trees growing on it.
It can be said that there is no place in the campus garden where there are no ornamental plants. The garden makes anyone who continues their education here feel comfortable. Especially during a very busy lecture schedule, the garden allows them to enjoy a different atmosphere, especially after finishing their lectures.
There are even gardens as far as the eye can see. Even the road dividers have well-maintained gardens. So, when we enter the campus, we will see green plants that refresh our eyes. This is one of the reasons my son decided to continue his studies here, especially since his desired major is available at this campus located in the easternmost province of Sumatra.
The footpaths in the park and forest on campus make anyone who visits this place feel comfortable. In essence, the many trees on campus give it a different feel from other campuses. It's as if we are studying in the great outdoors, when in fact we are in a building of civilization that prioritizes technology. So students can take advantage of this campus to continue learning to appreciate nature.
Talking about the parking facilities owned by this campus, which is ranked 9th largest in Indonesia. It is very spacious, and there are parking areas for both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles in front of every building. In essence, these facilities make parents feel comfortable, and of course, students feel more comfortable when continuing their education at this campus.
Here is some information about this campus:
