Hello fellow steemian, friends and folk,

Fort San Pedro - a military defense structure in Cebu City which built by the Spaniards under the command of Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, the first governor general who arrived in the Philippines to establish a colony in the 16th century in Cebu. It is found inside the Plaza Independencia de Cebu, this is somewhere in the city pier area. It is the oldest triangular bastion fort in the country, which it serves as the nucleus of the first Spanish settlement in the Philippines during the Philippine Revolution ending of the 19th century, but then it was attacked and taken by the Filipino revolutionaries and uses the landmark as a stronghold.

Upon entering the vicinity, in the left-side, you can see the Mariner's Court Cebu building, which its architectural design was inspired from a ship-shape building, clearly state that Cebu was a navigation destination, in fact navigators really amazed in Cebu's pride and besides it is also near to pier area, which it is easily to access.

So, how to get this place? Cited a fare scenario like in my case, I'm coming from Lapu-lapu City and where Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) also situated, I am going to ride a public utility bus (PUB) with a route of Mactan to Parkmall with a fare of (0.63 US$), then ride again with PUB route Parkmall to Colon with a fare of (0.44 US$) and I drop-off in M.J Cuenco Avenue, corner Vicente Gullas Street. I walk by foot in about 10 minutes maximum and to reach Plaza Independencia de Cebu main entrance, but if you ride with your private vehicle, tell your driver to drop-off at Plaza Independencia de Cebu main gate. The landmark opens at 8am to 7pm daily, and it has an entrance fee of (0.7 US$), and for that, you can be able to get inside the landmark's premises and to avoid any fines, kindly obey the guidelines implemented like, no littering, no smoking, no alcohol and beverages allowed and no vendors are allowed.
