Steemit Learning Challenge-S27W1; Physiofit; Pain-free Challenge
In our daily lives we do normally rush to work, studying for a longer period of time, doing house chores or even playing sports. Our bodies often bear the stress the of the activities we do which can lead to body aches, stiffness (especially after a game of football), or pains that slow us down
Understanding these signs from our body is the first step to healing and staying active.
That's why I am super excited to join Steemit Learning Challenge-S27W1; Physiofit; Pain-free Challenge.
It is a topic that touches most of us because at certain times we feel pains. Before I begin let me appreciate my organizer @ashkhan for this amazing chance to learn and share ways to live a comfortable and danger-free or pain-free live.
First you have to share your knowledge about pain, it's type and pathology
Pain is when your body system is raising an alarm that something is wrong, something painful is about to happen to you.
There are two types of pain namely:
Acute Pain
This is a short sharp pain. It is as if someone pitches you a little for a longer period of time and after a while you began to feel the pains. It mostly occurs from an injury, it might be a cut or sprained ankle.
Chronic Pain
This type of pain is everlasting. It can you more than a month or even a year even when the injury is gone.
Why do we feel pain?
When you get wounded, you body automatically sends a message to your brain telling your brain that you are hurt. That's right? Yes!
The feeling makes you protect the hurt area so it can heal.
I have a history to share
A few day ago, I was coming back from the school, as usual. When I reached the gate I opened in and didn't look at the ground properly, I missed a step and I twisted my ankle on an uneven surface.

My ankle immediately started paining me. It was a bit difficult to walk at that moment and my leg was stiffed. I had to call my sister @glorystar21 who was at home that faithful day if not, i would have remained there.
She said my pain and gave me a massage. I decided to join this challenge and share my recovery with all of you
For my sprained ankle to heal, my sister @glorystar21 did some simple physiotherapy stretches. These exercises helped me to recover quickly and make my ankle strong for good things ahead.

After getting some relief
I did these three stretches:
- Ankle Circles:
My sister moved my ankle in a circular motion which helps the joints become flexible - Calf stretch
I stretched the muscle located at the back of my leg while relives the tightness - Hamstring Stretch:
I stretched the back of my leg and it supported my whole leg.
Here is a short video of me doing the exercises. You can see how I move my ankle.
How did I feel after?
After doing these stretches for a few days:
· The pain and swelling went down.
· I could move my ankle more easily.
· My balance became better.
My Final Review
The exercises helped me a lot thanks to @glorystar21. My ankle is much better now. I can walk perfectly and comfortably well .
I learned that pain is a signal, and with the right exercises, we can help our bodies heal faster.
I want to invite my friends @m-fdo, @pandora2010 and @wilmer1988 to also take part in this challenge.
