Team Europe’s Finale (Report #4)

It’s customary, of course, that the final report of a curator team includes a flood of thank-yous. And indeed, Team Europe does feel gratitude too.
We’re proud of ourselves for voluntarily taking on a major challenge - made even tougher by our own high standards. For ruining our summer month of July by spending far too many hours digging through the deepest depths of Steemit.
Yes, we’re grateful for that, because it quickly opened our eyes to the reality of our "beloved, honorable platform."
We’re very satisfied with what we managed to accomplish this month, despite the most adverse circumstances. And we’re equally satisfied with the personal decisions we each reached as a result.
Of course, we’re also proposing a few posts today that you can safely upvote without hesitation. "Unfortunately," some of them already received a high vote. But that’s probably because they really deserve them… 😏

I read your reports with concern because I want you to keep going, not to give up, I imagine how difficult it is, how much time and effort it takes, under the constant questions of whether it's worth it...

Why? It’s a very profound and well-reflected piece. You’re not just clarifying things, you’re also calling out exactly the kinds of extremes that, especially on this platform, the so-called libertarians try to pass off as liberalism in their "loud pamphlets".
These “freedom defenders” aren’t libertarians - they’re "libertarian buzzword slingers". The latter, by the way, is my public-friendly choice of words, deep down I’ve got very different ones in mind... ;-)
It's simply polite to say goodbye – it's not meant to scare you.
This isn’t about “giving up”, we’re merely facing the facts.
As long as there is neither willingness to communicate nor to evaluate on the part of those whose SP we’ve within... (yes, it's barely imaginable, but true) squandered and as long as everything continues as if we had never pointed anything out, there simply won’t be an “us” in any “prominent position” anymore.
Believe me, some are more than fine with that... ;-)

Okay, I need some time to think about all this. 😅I understand how messed-up it can be, or maybe not. Maybe you just have to be and stay in positions that satisfy you to some extent. Conditions are never ideal, things are never the way they should be. People just have to find within themselves the reason and the desire to do what they do, no matter how hard it is.
Regarding the post, I say this because it touches on a sensitive topic that shouldn't even be mentioned. On some other platforms, one risks being downvoted, banned, or kicked out. Therefore, one should always be careful, tread carefully, and if possible, simply not bring up this topic.
I am extremely grateful for the open minds here, for the fact that you are not afraid, that you have the courage to think and speak (I am not exaggerating). And thank you for the appreciation, really!❤️😊

So im ersten Drittel habe ich gedacht, das halten wir nie durch. Ich habe den Monat über viel zu wenig Schlaf bekommen, da ich meist erst abends an den Rechner kam, um auf die Suche zu gehen. In meinem Feed war ja nur selten was dabei.
Ich habe schon gemerkt, dass mir der Schlafmangel nicht gut tat. Das ist das erste, was ich jetzt mache. Bewusst und ausreichend schlafen... auch mal zwischendurch ;-)
Habe jetzt dazu noch Urlaub, so dass ich die Fünfe gleich doppelt gerade sein lassen kann. Abgesehen von der Gartenarbeit, die ich gestern und heute noch machen musste. :-)
Ich freue mich auf den August (-Sommer)...

Da sprichst du ein ernstes Problem an. Plötzlich fällst du in ein tiefes Loch, weißt mit der neuen Freiheit kaum etwas anzufangen, erwischst dich dabei, dass dein selbst auferlegtes Detox-Programm bereits am ersten Tag zum Scheitern verurteilt ist.
Vielleicht nutze ich die Zeit für den Besuch einer Selbsthilfegruppe. Suchtmanagement oder Masochisten. Da ich nebenbei so gar keine Coins verdient habe, kann ich eine professionelle psychiatrische Betreuung ja leider nicht bezahlen... 😉

Ich habe ja auch aufgehört, regelmäßig zu schreiben, als ich eine Weile auf der blinden Gehaltsliste größerer Fische stand. Das fand ich nicht gut, das fand ich erbärmlich.
Du kannst immerhin mit Stolz behaupten, dass mindestens zwei von uns deine Beiträge (in der Regel) auch ohne einen sc-Account am Schwänzchen gevotet haben... 😁
Die Hitzeapokalypse war hier eher eine Jahrtausendüberschwemmung. So heftige Sommergewitter habe ich das letzte mal vor - hm, lass mich überlegen - gut einem Jahr erlebt.
Vor "einfach nix voten", käme bei mir, die ich ohnehin seit geraumer Zeit deutlich mehr CR als alles andere zur Verluststabilisierung "claime", der Powerdown. Der Klickfinger war bereits mehrfach ausgestreckt, ich knabbere jedoch noch viel zu lange auf meiner Unterlippe. Gib mir etwas Zeit... 😏

I think that even if you say goodbye, sometimes it's just a "see you later." Taking time off after trying and experiencing an activity that's like digging with your nails feels like a well-deserved vacation...
