STEEM ATLAS : Curation Guidelines for August 2025

Steem Atlas is a dynamic interface designed to create a global travel map powered by the Steem community, developed by the @pennsif.witness team, which allows you to pin locations and share information about them.
By granting a Booming account this August, this will be a great opportunity to promote Steem Atlas, which has already become a leading application on the Steem blockchain.
What do we look for in posts for Steem Atlas?
Our team will primarily focus on posts about a specific place or location that meet the 21 tips of the Steem Atlas posting guidelines.
Additionally, Steem Atlas is not limited to tourist destinations; we are open to all types of places and locations that are useful to Steem users, as well as external users. We have already seen many places on search engines like Google that are posted on Steem Atlas, which serves as a guide.
The content we look for includes places such as:
- Tourist attractions and vacation destinations
- Mountains, lakes, and other natural beauty
- Museums and art galleries
- Theaters
- Stadiums and sports venues
- Zoos, safari parks, and wildlife sanctuaries
- Places of worship such as churches, temples, and mosques
- Restaurants such as restaurants, cafes, bars, etc.
- Shops, markets, and shopping malls
- Educational institutions such as universities, schools, and colleges
In short, all the places around you. We look for the right location, quality images, details, and useful information about that specific place. Therefore, you should be careful with the following:
A description of the place; avoid unnecessary greetings and introductions.
Include details about costs such as admission, parking, and how to get there. Include the equivalent price in STEEM or USD, or at least the current exchange rate.
We love photos, but be selective: use only the best ones you've taken and make them large and clear.
Also include links to more information about the place, such as its website and social media.
It's recommended to include a description under each photo.
We are NOT looking for Diary Game posts that mention one or more locations.
Therefore, based on their relevance to our project, we will vote on posts tagged with #steem-atlas taking into account the general curation guidelines below.
All posts must be free of plagiarism and the images must be yours.
We will take AI-generated content into account, as it represents a high level of abuse. (We will review posts with detectors.)
Usernames must not be disabled.
The percentage of voting is determined based on the quality of the post and correct pin location, so it is important to read the guidelines to make your post better.
I've designed these beautiful comment banners for us to use while curating posts by mentioning the name of the assigned curator of the day.

To execute this curation process efficiently, we have assigned the following weekly responsibilities:

At the end of each week, we will present a report with weekly statistics and the top seven posts selected by team members.
