A smile may hide a storm inside, A laugh can mask the tears we cried. We play the part with practised grace, while shadows dance behind the face.

The eyes may shine, yet still conceal A wound too deep, too raw to heal. Each word we speak, a veiled disguise, A secret truth beneath the lies.

We joke and charm, we lead, we sway, yet hearts grow heavy every day. The world applauds our calm control, Unknowing of the silent toll.

But in the dark, when lights grow dim, The game dissolves on whim and whim.And there we are, just flesh and bone. No masks, no roles, just truth alone.
