Punjab Govt Issues Update on School Exams

The Punjab Government has issued a notification regarding the closure of all public and private schools in the province on May 9th and 10th (Friday and Saturday). This decision comes amid the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, reflecting precautionary measures to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Despite the school closures, examinations conducted by or on behalf of international examining bodies, including O-Level and A-Level exams, will proceed as scheduled. Students appearing for these important assessments are advised to attend their exams without disruption. However, the Punjab Education Minister confirmed that matric and intermediate-level exams scheduled on May 9th and 10th are cancelled.

Officials have indicated that further updates regarding the reopening of institutions or any possible extension of the closure will be shared in the coming days. The decision will depend on how the current situation evolves.
