A house assisted by Uninhabitable Housing (RTLH), funded by Rp 70 million from Village Funds (DD), is located in Abu Panglima Hamlet, Meunasah Teungoh Village, Pandrah District. It was handed over by the Regent of Bireuen, H. Mukhlis, ST, to the beneficiary on Friday afternoon (August 1, 2025).
The house was given to Jabir M. Kasem, 43, a farmer, who lives with his wife, Mulyani, 35, and their two children, Syakira Azzura (12.5), and Muhammad Rais Ustar (9), a third-grade student at MIN.
In a question-and-answer session during a meeting with the Regent, attended by the Chairperson of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRK), Juniadi, SH; Acting Regional Secretary Hanafiah, SP CGCAE; Assistant I; the Head of the Housing and Settlements Agency; the Sub-district Heads; and the local community at the meunasah, Basyirudin explained, "For the past six years, before Regent H. Mukhlis took office, we from the Meunasah Teungoh Village Government have supported this program and built 13 units of assisted housing for underprivileged residents living in uninhabitable homes.
Currently, six more houses need to be built to complete the construction of these habitable houses, which can be funded by the Bireuen Regency Government budget. "In the upcoming revised budget, we will build one more house so we can build two units, in accordance with the Regent's expectations and the provisions of the Regent's Regulation," he explained.
Bireuen Regent, H. Mukhlis, stated that the program to build two housing units using village funds, as stipulated in the Regent's Regulation, aims to eliminate uninhabitable housing and also supports government programs.
"God willing, during my five years in office, I hope the uninhabitable housing program can be completed. If 609 villages build two housing units each year, we can build more than 5,000 uninhabitable houses in five years," he said.
Regent Mukhlis also revealed that the approximately Rp 4 billion budget allocated for purchasing cars for the Regent and Deputy Regent will be diverted to build 40 units for underprivileged residents so they can live in decent housing.
"I also donate my salary to the poor," he said.
