Bireuen Government Holds Dhikr and Prayer to Welcome 1 Muharram.

The Bireuen Regency Government (Pemkab) through the Islamic Sharia Service (DSI) held a dhikr and prayer together and a sermon to welcome 1 Muharram 1447 H/2025 M, Thursday, 6/26/2025 morning, at the Sultan Jeumpa Grand Mosque, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province.

The activity to welcome the Islamic new year was attended by the Deputy Regent (Wabup) of Bireuen, Ir H Razuardi, MT and Forkopimda officials and the Bireuen Regency Government, attended by hundreds of employees and invited guests presenting a speaker Tgk H Nuruzzahri Yahya (Waled Nu).

The chairman of the organizing committee, also as the Head of the Islamic Sharia Office, Dr. H. Jufliwan, SH MM said that the purpose and objective of implementing 1 Muharram is as a momentum to improve the quality of worship and devotion to Allah SWT by strengthening spiritual relationships and doing good deeds.

This commemoration commemorates the event of the Prophet Muhammad's migration from Mecca to Medina, which became the starting point for the formation of the Muslim community and the spread of Islamic teachings. "The migration symbolizes a major change in the life of the Prophet Muhammad, which involved fortitude, courage and sacrifice," he explained.

The Deputy Regent of Bireuen, Ir. H. Razuardi, MT in his remarks, among others, hoped that all participants of the dhikr and tausiyah would be able to follow this event solemnly until the end. "This is a form of worship that has virtue and value in the sight of Allah SWT if we carry it out with full sincerity," he said.

The Deputy Regent also invited the people of Bireuen to learn from the example given by the Prophet Muhammad SAW during the migration event. The migration process was what later became the beginning of the glory of Islam in various corners of the world.

Therefore, it is very important for us to learn from history so that we are able to migrate towards a better life in the future. At the individual level, the Prophet made migration a means to uphold the aqidah nafsiah, namely a good and commendable aqidah in every human being.

At the communal level, migration is a momentum to build togetherness and brotherhood in order to uphold Islam as a religion that is Rahmatan Lilalamin, concluded the Deputy Regent.
