As the fourth largest city in Indonesia, Medan City (North Sumatra) has many hotels with various choices and budgets. This time let's see Hotel Batik Medan which is located at Jalan Iskandar Muda Number 15, Medan Baru District, North Sumatra 20222 telephone (061) 88815555.

I found Hotel Batik Medan from an application, late April 2025. I read the comments of several guests here and it seems fun with affordable prices, and an easy-to-find location.

For the people of Aceh, Jalan Iskandar Muda should be very familiar because from Aceh usually cross Jalan Gatot Subroto and before Plaza Medan Fair, immediately turn right. Hotel Batik Medan is located between Jalan Lobak and Jalan Kunyit.

However, it is not easy to find Hotel Batik Medan because from Jalan Iskandar Muda, there is no hotel name. When I arrived at the end of April 2025, some parts of the hotel were being renovated. Perhaps the part above the name needs to be installed with a more prominent nameplate.

However, from the side door that is the direct guest access to the reception, the nameplate Hotel Batik Medan is clearly visible. The nameplate is bright red, similar to the Batik Air airline logo. I don't know if there is a business relationship between Hotel Batik Medan and Batik Air airline.

I paid Rp327,000 (equivalent to 130 #steem) for one Deluxe room at Hotel Batik Medan. Every time I make a @steem-atlas post, I always hope to get a reward equivalent to the hotel I'm staying at, or at least reduce the cost of accommodation. When #steem reached ATH in the past, I once got a reward from #steem that sometimes exceeded the cost of a hotel per night.

Breakfast at the Hotel Batik Medan is also quite good, especially with a cost of 130 #steem including breakfast for two people. The room conditions are also comfortable and pleasant, although a bit small for a deluxe room.

One thing that is a bit troublesome here is the narrow parking lot. However, the security guard promptly directs guests to park their cars in every available space. Staying at the Hotel Batik Medan for one night and going back and forth to the parking lot, I never had any trouble finding a parking space.[]
