The Diary Game -June 2, 2025 : "My Husband is Unwell"

Well, no struggle... As always, the first to wake up is me. While maintaining the silence, I was already busy in the kitchen for a simple breakfast. Here, an okra salad, a boiled egg, and a cup of coffee. I just let them sleep longer since it is still vacation days, and my husband will be busy in the afternoon. Everyone deserves a bit of rest.

Last night, my husband had a rough time. His hard cough resulted in mild fever… gi “hutoy” made me spend the night attending to him. I looked after him and prepared the hot turmeric so he could go back to sleep. We did discuss that if he doesn’t get better, we should visit the doctor already. But he said he just wants to get a massage first because his back has been hurting, probably from all the stress at work lately.

Lunch came, I just asked my eldest to buy some viand from a nearby “carinderia”. Outside was too hot, so I reminded him to carry an umbrella with him. As expected, it's a no... teenagers, you know, don’t feel cool with that. So, bear hand he went.
What did he buy? Fried fish, oysters, and chicken soup. He’s dependable when it comes to errands like this. But he should always be reminded to buy fish. It's his younger brother’s favorite, especially since he prefers fish over meat. Other menus, it’s all up to him, his choice, his command.

Dinnertime, I just felt so lazy that I didn’t bother to cook anymore. So, I asked my husband to buy lechon manok at our favorite "letsonan, Chicken Oink." We almost didn’t make it due to the long line, but Ola, we got one!
The flavor is always worth the wait. We used to get the spicy version, but lately, the kids seem to have grown tired of it. So this time, I just went with the regular roasted chicken, and it was still just as delicious.
Right after our dinner, we headed straight for a massage. Though my husband was not feeling well, he still drove to the Spa center. Really, I kept praying for safety since he didn’t stop coughing on our way.

The place is quite close to where we live. So it was convenient for us to go out a bit late. Whenever I feel discomfort in my back, especially now that my age speaks volumes... my back pain is seldom absent either. As if it has a schedule of its own. I also visit this place. The service here is good enough to breathe easily after a session.
One of the best things about the place? The price is just right. It's not too expensive for commoners like me. We only paid 250 pesos (about 32 STEEM) for a pure back massage. For 30 minutes, you will be amazed at the quality of their service. Also, we gave a small tip to the one who handled the massage. After all, working with aches and pains wasn’t easy. Good thing, the staff here were very welcoming too. You surely feel at home while waiting.
On our way home, my husband said he now felt better. That was fast! But honestly, I was more than glad of him telling me that. I just hope so… Coz if not, then another sleepless night is waiting. Though it’s such a relief, days like this are a reminder that we should take care of each other for good and for worse.
I pray that your husband recovers back to full fitness soon.
When you are visiting a place, you can write under the #steem-atlas tag, but there's guideline to follow, please search and learn.
Thank you very much... Honestly, I really need to revisit the guideline of steem-atlas. I've already attempted to learn it but I just couldn't grasp it yet.
I haven't write a single post under the tag as well, but I spread the words about it when I think it will benefit the author. Good luck. Thanks for creating.
Wishing for a safe recovery!
