A Resident's House in Paya Bieng Jangka Village, Bireuen, Burns Down.
A permanent house was destroyed by fire in Paya Bieng Village, Jangka District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at approximately 4:50 PM WIB.
The burned house belonged to Nurdin (72), whom he shared with his wife, Zariati (66), and their child, Rahmatul Hayati (22). Also living in the house were his son, Muhajir (37), his wife, Rahmawati (35), and their two children, Muhammad Gibran (4) and Algifari (2.5), who were not home at the time. There were no fatalities, and the cause of the fire is still unknown.
M. Sayuti, the son-in-law of the family, stated that the house was empty at the time. Several local residents saw the fire and immediately helped extinguish it as best they could. Dozens of residents rushed to the scene to help extinguish the fire and requested assistance from the Bireuen fire department.
A fire engine from the Kuta Blang Post in Bireuen, along with three fire trucks from the Bireuen City Main Post and one fire truck from the Juli Sub-district Sub-Post, were immediately dispatched to Jangka, Bireuen, to handle a land fire in Cot Gombhan, Tgk Di Ibu Hamlet, Meunasah Dayah Village, Kota Juang District.
Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters immediately began extinguishing the fire. However, the extent of the blaze destroyed the house and its contents. After extinguishing the fire, firefighters immediately began cooling down the building and clearing the debris.
As a result of the fire, Nurdin and his family were left homeless and are temporarily staying at his family's home.
Following the disaster, the Bireuen Regency Government, through the Social Services Agency, distributed emergency assistance to the victims. This assistance demonstrates the Bireuen Regency Government's commitment to the fire victims.
