Bireuen Regent Lays Cornerstone for Cot Ijue Community Health Center Inpatient Building.

The Regent of Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, H. Mukhlis, ST, laid the cornerstone for the construction of the Cot Ijue Community Health Center (Puskesmas) inpatient building in Peusangan District, after being topped with peusijuk (plain flour) by Tgk Mahfud Zamri on Tuesday morning (August 19, 2025) at the Puskesmas complex.

The event was attended by Assistant I to the Regional Secretariat, Mulyadi, SH, MM; Head of the Health Office, Dr. Irwan; Head of the Public Works and Public Housing Office, Ir. Fadhli; Ir. Fadli Amir, ST., MT.; IPM ASEAN Eng; and the Acting Head of the Puskesmas, along with his staff and implementing partners.

Construction of the inpatient building has begun with a contract value of Rp 1,877,092,000, with a start date of August 4, 2025, and a completion date of December 31, 2025, funded by the Bireuen Regency General Allocation Fund (DAU).

The Head of the Health Office (Kadiskes), Dr. Irwan, stated that the Cot Iju Community Health Center currently lacks inpatient rooms and only serves outpatients. Upon completion, the facility will have a representative inpatient building.

The Regent of Bireuen, H. Mukhlis ST, stated at the site that, as part of the Cot Iju Community Health Center's development efforts, construction of the inpatient building will begin this year with a budget of over Rp 1,877 billion, a transparent project plan.

The Regent also expressed his hope that the relevant agencies would oversee the building's construction to ensure that the results meet expectations and that it can be immediately used to serve patients requiring inpatient care.

"The construction of this inpatient building was not only proposed by the Health Department, but also during my spot check here. Medical personnel also expressed a dire need for inpatient rooms," he said.
