Deputy Regent of Bireuen Officially Opens Aceh Sports Week Prequalification for Football.
Deputy Regent (Wabup) of Bireuen, Ir. H. Razuardi, MT, officially opened the Aceh Sports Week Prequalification (Pra-PORA) 2025 for Football Group C held at the Green Open Space (RTH) Field or the former Cot Gapu Stadium, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, Friday afternoon, June 27, 2025.
In his remarks, Razuardi conveyed the importance of Pre-PORA as a selection event as well as a coaching forum to obtain quality athletes before advancing to provincial-level competitions.
He said that high-achieving athletes do not appear suddenly. They are born from a continuous training process and tough competition.
"True champions are those who have strong determination, are persistent in training, and are honest in their attitude," said Razuardi in front of participants and invited guests.
Razuardi also invited all participants to uphold sportsmanship and participate in the match according to the rules. He hopes that the implementation of Pra-PORA will not only be successful in organizing, but also in producing achievements and empowering athletes towards the advancement of Acehnese sports.
"I hope that the spirit of the champion is in all of you. Compete in a sporting manner and avoid acts of violence on the field," he said.
The Deputy Regent also expressed his appreciation to the organizing committee and all parties who have contributed to organizing this event.
Previously, the Head of Askab PSSI Bireuen, Ir. H. Saifuddin Muhammad or who is familiarly called Yah Fud, expressed his gratitude for the trust of Asprov PSSI Aceh which has appointed Bireuen Regency as the host of the Group C event.
"Thank you also to all parties for their support and togetherness, so that Bireuen is trusted to host the Group C football branch in the 2025 Pra-PORA round," said Yah Fud.
He explained that the 2025 Pra-PORA Group C football branch was attended by four teams, namely Bireuen as the host, and teams from Lhokseumawe, Bener Meriah, and Aceh Besar.
The match was part of a major selection involving 17 regencies/cities throughout Aceh divided into four groups: Group A in South Aceh, Group B in Southwest Aceh, Group C in Bireuen, and Group D in Aceh Tamiang.
Yah Fud hopes that all elements can support the smooth running of this competition so that it truly produces the best soccer athletes who are ready to compete in the upcoming PORA event.
The opening of the pre-qualification event was also attended by the Chairman of the Asprov PSSI Aceh Nazir Adam, Deputy Chairman I of the Bireuen DPRK Surya Dharma, elements of the Bireuen Forkopimda, and a number of other related officials.
