Disco party at the Covered Court
Hello, Steemit friends! how are you all? I hope you we are all in God's grace and mercy. How's life? I hope we are all doing better now.
Today I will be sharing about the disco party I watched. No, I did not come here to party but instead I came here to work. I am a barangay tanod, a volunteer worker of our village but we receive a small amount every month in compensation of our hard work.
Our work is to help organize the barangay events from small senior citizen meetings to events in fiestas and more. This time, was a disco thus there are colorful lights on the covered court.
I went to work as early as 7 pm to set the area and there I met with my colleagues; i am taking pictures not only to keep memories but I had to remember these events for our monthly reports before they would give our compensation.
Watching people dance and get drunk is never easy, some just wanted to have fun but most of the people are messy and wanted to start fight.
Music in the covered court is very noisy that we even have a hard time hearing each other; good thing my wife does not go to disco like other people or else it will be another challenge for me. She does worry bout me a lot and this is the very reason whey I am very careful on doing my job.
There was one time when my old friend surrendered a knife so narrow that is was disguised into a ballpen, he said someone handed it to his son and it was very smart of him to give it to me to avoid mess and trouble.
Our very small salary could not compensate the risk we face everyday on our work but thank be to God for his love and protection over me and my family and my colleagues.
have you ever been to a disco party before? Did you had a great experience?
