Beauty the Night holds

Hello friends, how are you all? Are you celebrating valentines day with your loved ones today? perhaps tonight when everything will be going to rest. Some might have celebrated it yesterday when there was still no work to do.

Anyway, let me share this beauty that I beheld some night ago, I was lucky that the kids were not tailing me and I had the chance to get a good photo of this wonderful creature.
Its a jumping spider when we call it because it has the ability to jump heights especially when it feels threatened. Though it still is a regular spider that has a web on its behind.

See the spikes in its legs? I guess it is more use when in the fight. It looks huge here but the reality is that I just zoomed it to the maximum level of the capacity of my phone camera. I guess it is on an aggressive mode, preparing its legs to wrap me when I come close to him and maybe wrap me with its web.

This is where I first saw him, in the Vitex negundo tree when I was getting young leaves for medicine of my cough.

Just in time, he was near a lagundi flower and the sight was even better to see. There were rain showers earlier at that time so the leaves are still a little wet. And look at the spider's shadow from my camera's flash, isn't it amazing?

Here are shots That I took from different angles.

Then it moved under the leaf, maybe he realized that I was taking pictures of him so i could earn and he might have despised me for it. hehe, just my wild imagination.

So I have come to another beauty during that night, spider eggs wrapped in its own web. At first, upon digging into my gallery, I thought it was the eggs of the spider that I showed earlier but when I checked the time, it is almost 1 hour apart and it. I would be lying even to myself if I would say that the green spider protects this from me. there is no other picture to support this photo so I am guessing that this leaf belongs to a citrus tree which I snot farm from our house too.

Laying its eggs this way s a great disguise. Going through, I saw another creature, a snail to be exact in my favorite flower. good thing it was just on the twig and did not eat the leaves or else they would go down the soul the moment I see them.

A closer look, the details might not seem very clear because of the light's reflection on its shell.

But this snail is looking for a better spot, it slithers from the plants where I captured the snail from above.

All in all, my little visit to the front yard is great. These creatures can only be seen active during the night time and I'm so happy to have captured great moments.
Thank you for reading by this far, and I hope you are enjoying my post. Thank you so much for your time and support!
