Local Government Day -2023 Development Fair Gangni

Today I am going to share with you the development fair on the occasion of National Local Government Day. Every year in our area, a development fair is held on the occasion of Local Government Day. I went to the development fair a few years ago and captured several pictures from there on my mobile camera, from there I am going to share the post with you today. Actually, every union parishad in our upazila participates in the development fair. There, the farmers of each union parishad discuss how the farmers grow crops in their respective areas and how they are more attracted to agricultural work and where they want to take agricultural work in the future and their contribution to making Bangladesh an agriculturally dominant country. Everything is discussed in the development fair. Various other topics of Local Government Day are discussed, but let's bring to you the main topic of today's post........

If you look at the picture above, you can see that I have taken several pictures and shared them with you. There are about eight unions in our Gangni police station, from where each union participated in the development fair. Gangni Municipality Union Parishad participated and showed how the farmers of their area are cultivating paddy in the field and growing various types of vegetable crops directly at the development fair. I went to the development fair around noon, the development fair was not well organized, there was not much crowd of people, at that time I saw the different types of cultivation of the farmers of each union parishad and I liked it very much. I have captured the cultivation of some of them in my mobile camera and am trying to share them with you. They discussed everything in the discussion meeting, starting from when we plant the paddy in the field to how the paddy will be brought home. And they presented the vegetable crops very nicely in front of all of us in the discussion meeting.

Now if you look closely, you will see that the farmers of the Bamundi Union Parishad participated in the trade fair competition with all the farmers who are very focused and skilled in vegetable cultivation or other cultivation. In fact, everyone from their own place tried their best to participate in the trade fair and win prizes from there. They gave speeches to everyone about different types of vegetable crops and that the cultivation of vegetable crops for everyone is very important. This is how they spoke. Their words are true. When I heard them at the trade fair through their speeches, I was very impressed. They are very skilled in vegetable cultivation. I really liked hearing the success of their vegetable cultivation from their mouths in the form of stories. I think every person needs to have such confidence who is very skilled in any field. Bamundi Union participated very well and presented their valuable speeches.

If you look above, you can see that the farmers of Matmora Union participated in all the vegetables or agricultural crops that the farmers of their union parishad area are expert in. Orange cultivation is very good in their area. They discussed the orange fruit with the farmers of their area and they always sow rice seeds in their area and sell small rice seedlings. I have taken pictures of oranges and rice seeds very beautifully and shared them with you above. In fact, we need all these things very much. Every common person got ideas from the farmers very beautifully in the discussion meeting and the farmers tried to spread their valuable words very beautifully among the public. Every public tried to get attracted to agriculture by absorbing the valuable words of the farmers and I think that all the people who participated in the trade fair need to have respect and love for agriculture.

If you look closely, you can see that many union councils participated in the trade fair, from where Bamundi Union Council and Gangni Municipality were declared the winners. The formalities of the trade fair started at around 5 pm, many dignitaries and farmers participated, and with the participation of all of them, an effort was made to make the trade fair a great success. Students from every school and college of Gangni Upazila were taken to the trade fair, and I myself was present there as a college student. In fact, I myself gave a small speech there. I think that we should have respect and love for agricultural work as we grow up. You can see that there are many spectators there, they tried to listen very well to the farmers and the people who gave the speeches very well and attentively, and they tried to nurture agricultural work in their own minds. Every farmer works hard, they grow crops in the field every day, and from there they mainly depend on their livelihood. I think we should show respect to every farmer.

I was present at the trade fair from afternoon to evening. Three farmers from each union parishad spoke at the event, and speeches were made by several dignitaries, starting from the chairman of the union parishad. We can hear from their mouths how the farmers work hard to grow their crops, but they never really get the reward for their hard work. When the trade fair was completed very beautifully, at the last moment, when I was returning to my home after finishing the trade fair, I took a very beautiful selfie standing in front of the gate of the trade fair and shared it with you.
