Hungry on your way to Takengon or on your way back to Bireuen? Stop by Kak Mar Restaurant to fill your stomach and recharge your energy for the journey ahead. Kak Mar Restaurant is located next to Mie Ayam Pangsit Mas Ilham, right at the Krueng Geukuh intersection. This restaurant is open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Kak Mar Restaurant offers a menu of Acehnese specialties. Some of the Acehnese specialties on the menu include goat curry and masam keu eng. Kak Mar Restaurant is always crowded with visitors because of its delicious food and strategic location right on the side of the road, as well as its large parking area. The owner of this restaurant is named Mariati, which is why it is known as Kak Mar Restaurant.

Inside View

Kak Mar Restaurant consists of one shop house, with a green and white interior. There is a bar, a cashier desk, and seating. Each table has five chairs. The tables are black with white ceramic tops, and the chairs are orange and made of plastic.

Front Seats

At the front, there are also seats for visitors to eat. The front seats feel more spacious because there are no dividing walls, making them feel cooler than sitting inside. On the table, there are cups for washing hands, toothpicks, and tissues.

Food Rack

The food rack is at the front, containing several food items. The menu items offered by Rumah Makan Kak Mar include goat curry, chicken curry, fried fish, shrimp sambal, and grilled fish. In addition to side dishes, there are also soups that can be combined with rice, such as clear soup, fish soup, and jackfruit soup.

Drinks Bar

After eating, we will surely feel thirsty. Kak Mar's Restaurant also serves delicious drinks such as iced tea, green tea, juice, filtered coffee, and sachets. The drinks are usually mixed and prepared by Kak Mariati's husband for customers who eat rice here.

Goat Curry

I stopped by Kak Mar's Restaurant for lunch. After school, I always pass by this intersection, so Kak Mar's Restaurant has become my go-to place to fill my empty stomach. I ordered goat curry here because I think goat curry is very delicious and tasty. Even though it's delicious and my favorite food, I only order one serving every time I eat there. The price for one portion of goat curry with rice is Rp. 35,000 (13.99 Steem) and iced tea is Rp. 5,000 (2.33 Steem).

Cashier

There is a cashier desk on the left for payment. The person sitting at the cashier desk is none other than Kak Mariati's daughter, Desi, who is 20 years old. Having a cashier speeds up the payment process without having to wait for someone else to calculate the payment. It is also more hygienic because the people handling money and food are different.

Fans and Lights

The facilities available at Kak Mar Restaurant include fans and lights. Fans are placed inside so that visitors eating inside remain cool, while lights are also provided inside to brighten the room and make visitors feel comfortable eating here.
