Harris Farm Markets, Canberra

The idea of opening a fresh food came to the minds of David and Cathy Harris way back in 1971 with a store in Villawood, Canterbury, Bankstown, Sydney in New South Wales, Australia.

 
It was a cloudy day last Sunday when I visited this market so the images were not as sharp as I wanted them to be but the market was full of people as expected.

 

But they did not stop at selling fresh food. They wanted something natural, something organic in a natural environment or as they said in their own words

"We’ve believed in nature itself. The land, the sea, the air, the elements."

That was almost 55 years ago. They gradually brought families together, supported communities, and most of all provided the farmers an outlet for their produce.

Liquor

At Harris Farm Markets, they try to keep everything natural and prices low. They provide best natural produce, to everyone at its natural best.

Harris Farm Markets has recently opened it's branch in Canberra at Majura Park and it's already doing well.

Fruits & Vegetables

They are trying their best to support local farmers and producers, at Harris Farms Markets. They believe that by supporting local farmers they support the communities at large.

They at Harris Farm Markets believe that natural products with high quality from local producers at reasonable price is the key to serve the society as well this great nation.

Even after half a century in the business they still remain a family business. They have now twenty six stores including New South Wales, Queens Land and ACT providing natural food at low price.

Fruits and vegetables

I guess they have the most number of customers because of the fact, quality, freshness, natural at a reasonable price. I have reason to believe they are trying and doing their best to provide the best.

Seafood

This store has a wide range of products most of them come from local producers especially food products.

One of the specialties of this market is that they sell "Imperfect Picks" range at a reduced price to reduce the wastage of food products. They keep them at the door.
