The Bishops' Fortress - Brendola - Italy
I am very happy to participate in this contest Because it gives me the opportunity to share this place that in my opinion is very beautiful and is really just a few kilometers from my house.
But more than anything I am happy because they are doing a job of enhancing this place, and therefore it will soon open to the public and it is very beautiful with the world something with this history is enhanced and is opened for visits.
Today I will talk to you about the Rocca di Viscuso Brendola a medieval castle in the province of Vicenza on the Berici mountains, which is a very ancient story In fact the first fortification that was built in that place dates back to the year one thousand.
But there was probably something even before that dating back to Roman times, certainly some small structure that had been built to control the road.
Then the Rocca became a place of refuge for the bishops of Vicenza. In fact, it was expanded and resisted several sieges that occurred over the years, then the dominion of the bishops ended, it passed to various families and various lords of the time such as the Venetian Visconti and unfortunately around 1500 it was completely destroyed. That's why, as you can see from the photos, only a part remains that was fundamentally restored and enhanced by the Municipality of Brendola and, as I was telling you, it will probably be opened to the public for visits towards the end of this year.
It must be very beautiful to visit a place like this, precisely because it is rich in history, especially for me who am a lover of history and above all from that tower, which you see in the photos, you can certainly enjoy a beautiful 360-degree panorama of this entire area.
I always go walking in these parts, and for me it has become my favorite place, even if you have to work hard to get there because there is an easy path to follow that is also quite well made. However, it is all completely uphill.
There is also something else nearby that is very interesting to see. There are some historical military vehicles on display because it is basically a collection of a person who wanted to put me in his gardens and in my opinion it is also interesting to see this as well as the Brendola fortress so you can combine both experiences.
I hope that what I tell you was interesting, I will certainly update you when you can visit this place and if you will have to pay a ticket. But currently some people manage to enter anyway through passages and therefore visit it illegally. I did not want to do it because I did not want to risk it.
See you next time
I will invite @ulfatulrahmah @afzalqamar @josepha

Italy is indeed a beautiful country that is full of hospitality, a good atmosphere, and a lot more. The places you have shared look very beautiful, and your pictures are a perfect fit for the contest you have participated in. It seems you used a drone to capture the places. Good luck to you.
