Our Lady of the Apostles Hospital (OLA)

As we all know, a hospital is a place where medical services are provided. Our Lady of the Apostles Hospital (OLA) is the closest hospital to where I am staying. It is located in Akwanga, Nasarawa State, Nigeria, and offers medical services, including maternity care. Most people called it the Lady of Apostles Catholic Hospital, whereas some called it Ola Hospital.

Like I said earlier, the hospital provides care and support to patients and it also provides care for newborns whose mother passed away during childbirth. As of last night, I followed my friend to the hospital.

Once a patient gets to the hospital, the first place the person is to visit is the cashier's office to open a file. As we went and laid our complaint, we were asked to provide our file, which we didn't have. Since my friend hasn't opened a file with the hospital, he was sent to the cashier's office to do so.

We went to the cashier's office and made payment, where the staff were seen using torchlight while waiting for the light to be turned on. After payment for the file, the next step is to take the receipt to the file collection office, as seen in the image at the right.

After getting the file, the patient will then be sent to sit in an open hall while waiting to be attended to. At this point, we waited for their light to be brought and everywhere became bright.

After checking the temperature and other things, we then went to the laboratory for a medical checkup. The laboratory is out of bounds, so non-staff and patients who aren't authorized to enter cannot enter.

There is an open garden in the hospital where patient and staff spend their time getting fresh air. Besides the garden, there is a car park which makes the place look more beautiful at night.
