Kumudini Hospital, Mirzapur

Hello friends, today I am here to take entries for the wonderful Atlas Contest organized by the moderator of this community @damithudaya. The theme of this contest is Contest Announcement & Winners | Steem Atlas Challenge XiX - Pin Your Favorite Spot. This is a very wonderful contest where today I will be reviewing a hospital.

Mirzapur Kumudini Hospital is a traditional and public service health institution in Bangladesh. It is located in our Mirzapur Upazila of Tangail District. This hospital was founded by the famous philanthropist Ranadaprasad Saha. The journey of Kumudini Hospital started in 1944 and was named after Ranadaprasad Saha's mother Kumudini Devi. He laid the foundation of this hospital out of deep respect and love for his mother. However, with the evolution of time, it has been gradually updated and provides modern services. At the beginning, you will see a huge entrance gate which is the exit and entry point.

It is not possible for me to review this hospital completely because it is very big and there are some sectors inside where only the general public is not allowed to enter. There are many sectors inside where only doctors, nurses and patients can enter. All the facilities are provided outside the hospital. When you stand outside the hospital, you may wonder where the medical department I need is located. That is why a huge signboard has been placed outside the hospital indicating the name and room number of each department.

There are two ways to enter the hospital. Initially, you can enter through this gate. It only allows access to all the medical services and main medical departments on the ground floor. In addition, if you want, there is a European-style staircase on the right side before the hospital gate that you can go up. This staircase is very safe, especially for all sick patients. Before going up the stairs, you can see the emergency department, which is on the very ground floor.

The hospital started as a small health care center, but gradually it became a full-fledged modern medical service provider. It was one of the first hospitals established in the rural areas of East Bengal at that time, which was dedicated to serving the poor and helpless people. Today, people from all over our Mirzapur Upazila and from different parts of Bangladesh come to this hospital to get services, which is why our Mirzapur is so famous. There is a beautiful road outside the hospital, along which cars are parked.

After entering inside, you will see several ticket counters. There is a ticket counter on the ground floor where women and men have to hold serial numbers to purchase separate tickets. There is always a CCTV camera set next to the ticket counter signboard. Outside a glass, there are (a) serial men's tickets and (b) serial women's tickets. There are tickets according to your medical concept. Apart from that, if you go to the second floor, there is also a ticket counter there, but it is more applicable to other departments.

If you buy tickets from the top floor, i.e. from room 206, they are only included in a few departments. Here you will see a huge signboard that says first the eye department, then the skin and genital department, then the ear, nose and throat department. For each department, you have to buy a ticket according to the type of disease you are treating. We went there for my friend's eye treatment, so I went to the counter and asked about eye treatment, so they gave me a ticket for the eye department. eye department ticket price was 100 BDT or 0.8 USD.

Currently, Kumudini Hospital is a shining example in the health sector not only of Mirzapur or Tangail but also of the entire Bangladesh. It has gained the trust of the people as a hospital with modern medical facilities. As an example, let's see the activities inside the eye department. At the beginning, I entered the eye department. In the eye department, people went to the counter and told about their problems and the manager told them to go to the laboratory. There is a modern eye scan laboratory there to test the eyes. Once the eye examination is complete, there are several rooms where the MBBS eye doctor provides the main treatment. There are also several seats under the fan for the patients to wait.

Since it has now become known as a modern hospital, a CCTV camera has been set in each sector and in front of each room because security is most important. The security of every person is most important, so the security system is very good. Cleanliness is most important. There is a paper written on the window where you should not spit. As a conscious citizen, we need to follow these. There is a dustbin in each sector for throwing garbage and spit.

This is how all types of services are provided in this hospital and the services are provided in a modern way. Here, all the patients are provided with the necessary prescription medicines. Since this is a reputed hospital, there is a pharmacy in every sector of the staff. You will get all the medicines you need in the pharmacy of this hospital. It is written here as Kumudini Pharmacy and Optical Shop. This is the official pharmacy of this hospital. Apart from this, there is an ambulance service for taking and receiving patients by this hospital, which is parked outside. The driver's number is always attached to the ambulance.

This hospital currently provides advanced services, so I will recommend you to come here. The founder of this hospital, Ranadaprasad Saha, dedicated his life to health, education and human service. Along with Kumudini Hospital, he also founded Kumudini Women's Medical College, Nursing Institute and various educational institutions. Gradually, these have been updated with the evolution of time and are gaining an idea about advanced medicine. Personally, this is a proud hospital of my own area.
