Patuartek Sea Beach, Cox's Bazar
ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Dear friends, I hope you are all doing well. I am also Alhamdulillah, doing well by the countless mercy of Allah. I have come to participate in my dear @damithudaya brother's weekly Atlas competition. Today I will share with you the beach in Cox's Bazar district, located in the southeastern region of Bangladesh. The name of this place is Patua Tek. The beach at Patua Tek is very beautiful with a natural environment and scenic views of the sea. It is about 4-5 kilometers away from Cox's Bazar.
This place is located on a route that you will take from Cox's Bazar to Teknaf, and it is situated midway along the road. On the west side of the road, there are small hills, and on the east side, there is a beach. When you descend from the road, you will first see many rocks. The rocks appear black and have become slippery as they are mixed with water. Therefore, when you step on them, you must walk carefully.
In this place, besides the beach, the pots here are much more named, and many people specifically come to see them. When you come here, you will definitely be able to see some stones of this size. As far as I have learned, when stones of this size are placed in a location, they cannot be easily moved or displaced. Therefore, if there is any gap anywhere, these stones are used to fill it. This makes the fill strong and solid.
Let's now move on to another attraction. We walked a little forward on the rocks. Ahead, we can see a large sandbar and a sandy area. From here, the beach and the waves approaching with the wind are clearly visible. At first, I noticed there is a horse and a cart here, which are typically used for transportation and are rented out. Tourists find them and rent them to ride.
Now let's come to the real beauty, the sea and the beach—the view for which people have come from far and wide, renting hotels just to see this place, to play with the strong sea breeze and waves. Many people come to see the waves of this beach to fulfill their inner desires and to relieve the fatigue of the whole day. Here, you can come and share your feelings, get wet with the river, the sea, and the waves, and let the seawater touch your body.
Well, there aren't any separate shops or stores here, but I noticed one thing that is a bit different from other places. In other places, or here, you can find many things that are commonly available all over Bangladesh. But I saw one thing that was different, and that is the hill bananas. These bananas from the hill trees are sold here, and they are very delicious to eat. And of course, a few of us bought and ate them together.
| Cost Name | Quantity | BDT Price | Steem Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Riding a horse | 30 Min | 100 Tk | 6.5 Steem |
| Car rent | 20 Min | 100 Tk | 6.5 Steem |
| Banana | 1 empty | 60 Tk | 4 Steem |
Overall, this place is a destination worth visiting, and when you come here, you will stand in front of the sea, watch the waves, and feel the breeze. You will see countless people, new faces every day, people who have come from far and wide, and they have celebrated joyfully. You do not need any kind of ticket to enter here, nor do you need anyone's permission, as it is open to everyone. All in all, this place has appealed to me the most; among the conversations with the sea, I liked this place.
