Roads are no safe place for children. Vehicles are driven recklessly and one shut eye could cost a lot. But even more so, there are child abductions. Even in here, some horrible child abduction happens once a while and it usually ends up in a murder. And this movie is also about a child abduction but let's see how it goes.

"Amber Alert" is a #thriller #drama #movie that was released back in 2024. It was released by Lionsgate Films, and for a budget movie, it was well made. Hayden Panettiere and Tyler James Williams play the main roles here. Yeah, their names are not that familiar, but they've acted in multiple tv series.

It all starts with Charlotte Bryce, a 7 years old child being abducted by a man came from a black Toyota Camry. The mother calls 911 and decision was made to put an amber alert. Then, the people around the abducted area gets a message of the details of the abduction.

In the interim, Jacqueline is late for an appointment so he convinced an off-duty taxi driver, Shane to drive her. It's his son's 5th birthday so he should go to the function tonight. While on the road, they got the Amber Alert and at a junction while waiting for green light, they saw a car with matching description.

Then they called 911 and informed about the car. When they move forward to confirm whether the abducted child is in the car, the abductor panicked and drove the car while it was on red light.

Well, given the circumstances, Jacqueline and James didn't have much more options rather than chasing the car as the nearest police patrol is 30 minutes away. So what will happen? Will they be able to save the girl? It's upto you to find out..

Critical reception has been mixed but generally positive; IMDb rates it at 6.5/10 while Rotten Tomatoes shows a 75% approval rating among critics and 70% from audiences. Metacritic scores it at 62/100, reflecting a moderate consensus on its strengths and weaknesses. Google users have rated it positively as well, indicating an overall favorable response despite some criticisms regarding plot execution.

The movie is consists mostly of dialogues while driving and calls with the police. I personally like the dramatic thriller stuff and I learned about Amber Alert. Hope you do the same..
