When we are liking a TV series or a movie, the premise in which the action takes place plays a major role for me. I want it to be where I would like to be. I enjoy fishing and boating, even though I haven't accomplished either. So I'd like to at least see the view of that kind of a setting throughout a story. And this series gave me that.

The Waterfront is a Netflix Original #crime #drama TV #series, and it was released on June 19th. The series was silently released without that much of hype, as we have seen this type of series before. Holt McCallany, Melissa Benoist, Jake Weary, Rafael L. Silva, Humberly González, Danielle Campbell, Brady Hepner, and Maria Bello play main roles here.

The story follows the Buckley family: Harlan, the father, Belle, the mother, Cane, and Bree, the children. Cane is married to Peyton, and Bree was married and has a kid, Diller, but she can't live with him as she is a recovering drug addict who had done one of the wildest things in mother's dreams.

Buckley's are the runners of the town, Havenport, for generations. They are running the fishery and a restaurant on the beach. And they have more properties but they are in a financial breakdown. Harlan's son, Cane, was a good Soccer player back in his high school days, but was unable to escape Havenport even if he could because of the Family Business.

While everything is going down, one of the Buckley's boats, Miss Glory found abandoned and sailed on to the shore. Curtis and Troy, who were the fishermen on the boat, were missing. Cane Buckley had the ownership of the boat, and right after he saw the incident, he went to the Register's Office and changed the ownership to Curtis, to get away from the mess. But a DEA agent is after him and his family.

In the interim, Harlan, who had a malfunction in his defibrillator, found out about the incident and confronted Cane to tell the truth about the boat. It seems like the boat was carrying a drug load. Cane was doing this for a small time to make some money to help the family situation. But now he is in grave danger.

The drugs have been smuggled out of the boat by the killers of Curtis and Troy. Now, Cane has to find the one who stole, as he owes that load to the other end. They have a suspect, but boy, they knew a little about this deal and the stakeholders. And the hell is going to break loose in upcoming episodes, and you don't wanna miss it.
