I think now I'm in am age and should think of marriage. But there are a lot of things we don't know. It needs more than a partner for a marriage. There are so many things behind that ideology, and no one will understand all the norms for a perfect family life. I mean, many people struggle even in their 40s and 50s to find the right partner. Sometimes it could be the one to whom you said "bye" before.

Some people need help from others; I mean professional help to set someone up for their interests. This story goes around that kind of girl, and the movie is "Materialists." It's a #romance #comedy #movie that was recently released for VOD after a successful theater run. Funny thing is, all the lead actors in this movie had played a superhero role. The movie stars Dakota Johnson (Lucy), Chris Evans (John), and Pedro Pascal (Harry). Just like I said, Madame Web, Captain America & Mister Fantastic in one movie.

When we dive into the story, it's better to start from the past. Several years ago, Lucy and John were a couple. Lucy is a high school dropout and a failed actress. John is also a failed actress. They were financially struggling but managed to stay together for six whole years. On the day of their 6th anniversary, Lucy had had enough, and she broke up with John and has never heard from him since then.

Lucy had gotten into a matchmaking agency named "Adore" in New York. She's been more successful than other agents. She had been able to seal the deal for 9 couples, but she's still single. On the wedding day of her 9th couple, she met the brother of the groom, Harry, who also happens to be single. And you know who's also at the occasion. It is John. But he's not a guest. He's a waiter for the catering service.

With those brief meetings with both guys, Lucy is in a dilemma in her mind. Harry asked her for a dance, and she let John drop her home to balance both guys. But as a matchmaker, she analyzes criteria in her mind. Harry is a tall but a bit old and rich guy from a big family. John is still poor who still lives in the same shared apartment. And Lucy makes $80,000 before tax per year and wants to find a life partner.

In her journey of finding a soulmate, she comes across various problems, and sometimes the Materialistic nature of her takes off the real purpose of a soulmate. But will she choose the right one? It's up to you to find out.
