School is somewhere the life of a child could change. Some children find it easy, easy to move with others and face the obstacles while balancing academics and other activities. And there's some guys who couldn't grasp any of it. They kinda feel lonely in a crowded environment. It's not totally his fault, and it's not totally others' fault either. This #coming-of-age #movie kinda relates to the context.

"The Edge of Seventeen" is a #comedy drama movie that was released in 2016. I accidentally found this movie while I was searching for a movie that I've missed in the last decade🤭. This movie stars Hailee Steinfeld, Woody Harrelson, Blake Jenner, and Haley Lu Richardson. The movie was made under a $9 million budget and succeeded in a short theatre run by accumulating around $20 million worldwide.

The movie revolves around Nadine, who is seventeen years old now. She has an older brother, Darian. Darian was the highlight of the family since childhood. Nadine was a bit hard one to please. Her father died minutes after they bought her favorite cheeseburger. He had a heart attack in front of Nadine's eyes. She was thirteen back then.

Growing up, she had only one friend, Krista. They were inseparable until Darian came between us. Yes.. Krista fell in love with Darian. And this pissed Nadine off as she felt like Darian was taking everything she loved from her. With that, her friendship with Krista faded away. The distance between these siblings grew wider.

There's this Erwin guy, who kinda likes Nadine. But the typical Nadine doesn't know how to express things in a good way. But she keeps Erwin like as her emotional support, but sometimes it makes things weird between them. And the other thing is, she likes this guy, Nick, whom she had never talked to.

Nadine kinda makes a friendship with one of her teachers, Max. She kinda shares her struggles with him, not only to seek help but also for the sake of telling someone. And Nadine's mother, Mona, is also having a hard time, not only because she's widowed but also because of Nadine's actions.
