And there's something that can happen in both ways, and movies have been developed to visualize it. That is a deadly virus infection, like a #zombie apocalypse. And this movie and its prequels have shown us how to survive in that kind of world.
"28 Years Later" is the newest addition to the "28 Days Later" #movie series. It was released on 20th June, and its VOD release took place today. The movie stars Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Alfie Williams, and Ralph Fiennes. It received good critical reviews and accumulated $150 million over a budget of $60 million worldwide.
The story goes around Spike, a 12-year-old boy who lives with his father, Jamie, and his mother, Isla. They and the community live on the island of Lindisfarne, which has been disconnected from the British mainland. So the sea acts as a natural barrier from the threats from the mainland. When the tide is low, a path is paved to reach the mainland. When it is high tide, it is covered in water.
Isla has been ill for so long. Sometimes she's out of her mind. But there's no doctor on this island. Spike is 12 years old now. And now, he can decide whether he wants to go to the mainland and explore or not. Spike willingly accepted the challenge and went to the mainland with his father, Jamie.
It's been 28 years since the Rage virus outbreak, but still, there are infected roaming on the mainland. While on the journey of learning, they encounter degraded zombies, and Spike reluctantly makes his first kill. On the way home, they were attacked by a group of infected led by an "Alpha," a strong infected. While Spike & Jamie were hiding on the top of a house, Spike saw a fire, probably man-made.
After reaching home, Spike couldn't get over the fire saw on the mainland. The villagers threw a party for Spike's achievement. And Sam said something about the existence of Dr. Ian Kelson, a doctor who lives alone in the woods of the mainland.
