Most of the hitman-type movies are kind of serious in plot. The hitmen are serious, they use high-tech and stuff. But this movie is kind of the opposite. These types of radical movies can be seen by a particular movie distributor, "Focus Features".

"In Bruges" is a #crime #thriller #comedy #movie that was released back in 2008. This is also one of the best underrated movies I've ever seen. The movie stars Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Clémence Poésy, and Ralph Fiennes play the main roles here. And Farrell won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. It gathered a box office of $34.5 million against a budget of $15 million.

The story goes around Ray, an Irish hitman who normally works with Ken. Their handler in Harry. On the last contract, Ray was supposed to kill a priest. But the things got out of hand as a boy was killed in the process. This caused a big shock in London, where the action took place. So Ray and Ken had to leave London. But to leave where?

They left of Belgium, particularly to a town named "Bruges". Harry ordered them to lay low until the things calms down. Bruges in a town with old architects. Ken loves them but Ray just wants to have some fun in a pub. So both were enjoying the tour while visiting beautiful places in town.

In the interim, while Ray was watching a movie being filmed at night, he sees this beautiful girl and couldn't resist so went to talk to her to ask for a date. Witty Ray couldn't control his mouth, thought he ruined his chances but she, Chloe ended up giving him a chance.

Ray was so excited about the date. But one thing was circling in both Ray's and Ken's mind. It's because Harry didn't give any updates. So on the date night, Ken stayed at the room, to answer the phone if Harry calls. And just like that, Harry calls. But, it wasn't a good news for either. So what's this news? And what will they do about it? It's upto you to find out.

This movie is a slow-burning comedy thriller. I've never seen this side of Colin Farrell. And it was a Golden Globe Award worthy performance.
