I like horror movies. When it comes to horror movie sequels, the Predator & Alien movie franchises are doing pretty good these days. A new Predator movie is on the way, and Alien: Romulus did really well for the franchise. And the creators of the #Alien franchise were teasing their new TV Series for months, creating a huge hype over the internet. And it's finally out now.

Alien: Earth is a #sci-fi #action #horror series. It's a prequel to the first Alien movie. The first 2 episodes premiered recently and the rest will be released weekly basis. The series stars Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, Adarsh Gourav, and Timothy Olyphant as the main characters.

Before digging into the plot, let's cover some basics. It's 2120. Five companies control Earth and the colonized Solar System, including the recently founded Prodigy Corporation by Boy Kavalier. Prodigy is carrying out their research at Neverland research island, and their newest innovation is hybrids. Hybrids are like a human soul in a synthetic body. Before that, Cyborgs and Synths were developed. Cyborgs are robotically enhanced humans. And Synths are like robots.

65 years ago, USCSS Maginot, a Weyland-Yutani C-class deep space research vessel, was sent to space to collect extra-terrestrial specimens. The mission was not easy. The crew has lost a lot of valuable members. But somehow, they've collected the required specimens and now they're heading towards. The crew consists of humans, synths, and cyborgs. The spaceship is supposed to connect to a space station, not to land on Earth.

At present, under Prodigy Corporation, the preliminary research was conducted for developing hybrids, but for testing, humans were required. So they selected volunteer kids who were suffering from chronic diseases like cancer and paralysis. Marcy Hermit is the first one to become a hybrid. She became Windy after becoming a hybrid. Slightly, Curly, Nibs, and Smee are other hybrids. They are all in testing on the research island.

Windy had a brother, Joe, but he thinks Marcy is dead, as his father said. Joe is a medic who works with military missions. Windy used to watch Joe's routine through CCTV, and it felt connected to him. She wants to get to know him, but she can't leave the research facility.

In the interim, the Weyland-Yutani research vessel is nearing the Earth. But something catastrophic is going on inside. And that caused it to crash on Earth. As a medic, Joe has to go help the casualties. Seeing all, Windy can't just be at the research facility. What will happen? What caused the collision of the spaceship? Will Windy be able to join the rescue mission, or will there be a bigger mission than just a rescue mission? It's up to you to find out.
