This time, for the 72nd Miss World pageant, Sri Lanka was represented by Miss Anudhi Gunasekara.
She got this opportunity after winning the Siyatha Miss Sri Lanka 2024 crown.
She holds an international relations degree from Kelaniya University and was born in Anuradhapura. Her mother is a beautician, while her father works in the Sri Lankan Police.
Anudhi possesses all the qualities needed to contend for Miss World. She is a fair, slim, beautiful girl with long black hair and gentle qualities. She is also dedicated to social activities. Her Shaheli Foundation's main objective is to provide sanitary facilities for women and organize awareness programs to reduce poverty among Sri Lankan women.
The idea of the Saheli Foundation had come to her mind because of her final year university research on marital abuse in Sri Lanka.
She said that she got the idea of contesting Miss World when she was 17 years old. She also mentioned that the reason for participating in this contest was Manushi Chhillar, 2017 Miss World of India.
She possesses a Sri Lankan beauty. Her gentle smile and strong personality, which she inherited from her father, enhance her beauty.
Although she was unable to win the Miss World title, she had won many awards from various sections. She returned to Sri Lanka a few days ago, having won many awards and the hearts of people around the world. We wish her a happy future!
